Pulling for Iona because I laid money on them covering. Bought points, have them at +18.

He hasn’t left yet so I would hold off on that assumption. A coach with an ego that big will not tolerate another year like this. He had to be embarrassed, I know I would if I was in his place.

Keep in mind Pitino is doing this with essentially scrubs. (I realize the game isn't over but he at least got them into the tournament) How many of Iona players were recruited by the blue bloods?
not recruited by blue bloods but Ross and Gist can play with anyone in the country.
See how Pitino is playing a walk-on that has only played in 10 games this year ?? The guy is getting quality minutes and helping them. He coaches the entire team and instills confidence in every player. Neither he, nor the players, are surprised when called on and expected to perform ... no matter how big the stage.

Yeah, he left UK at the top, but with an intermediate stop, then went to Vomitville. I'm not quite ready to laud him with high-fives.

Adversity tends to bring out the worse in people and I would think that he has to be humiliated by this year and sitting home during the tournament.

Love him or hate him he is a damn good coach. Get's the most out of what he has just like when he was at UK
The walk-on +- must be unreal. Pitino does this with this kind of kid and it works. We get 5**** who cant shoot and opt out. Oh well.
Hey, I guess he learned something after that C. Laettner shot that won the game for Duke.
He had some great yrs at Ky, he has said he wishes he never left, he does have problems but still a great coach, I always pull for the underdog unless they play Ky.
