A lot of anticipation and build up for something that was over in a few minutes.

(thats what she said)
The tornado thing was a concern. The winds just depended on where exactly your were and that's impossible to forecast. It was IMO a smart move to be sure kids were home at the time that thing hit and there was no way to ensure that if you didn't call school. Trying to close school at noon is usually a fluster cuck. All it would have taken was one kid injured or killed leaving school during a high wind event. Lots of places reported wind gusts of 90+.

Almost got interviewed by the local news out surveying the damage, thought about trying to work in a "haven't seen a blow job like that in years" reference, but it just wasn't meant to be....

At the time of that post in Council Bluffs the only thing that wasn't normal was the temp being over 70. The wind was gusty which isn't uncommon.
You posted that at 7:30PM after a strong enough wind went through CB to dump over a train loaded with coal. Definitely not common.

That post was made while I was on lunch which is 2pm, not 7:30pm.

Rivals timer must be off
I did have a post at 7:30 but said the storms in December were the difference in the day. I had people texting me at 10am to see if the wind was blowing us away. It was a windy day which we have quite often.

Absolutely the right call. It would have been right around when all these kids are getting out of school and walking home etc. Plus you want to minimize traffic on the roads if possible. It was pretty nasty for a bit there. I thought it was overkill at first but after seeing what came through, I get why they cancelled.

23 spotted tornadoes in Nebraska on this day. Confirmed 23. In December. Glad it was not a big deal and just a run of the mill day!
