Except for all of the people that covered the event? Not a single mention of what you speak of. Of course you still can't find a link to something you say is soooo outrageous. Shocker!

You’re to blind too see it or in denial..Shocker..

You can't come up with anything to support what you're claiming. You're better than that. Either apologize for the faux outrage or post a link to an article or video that shows the incident. Do better.

That wasn't intentionally disrespectful. Just as I thought, @scarletred @Baxter48 and others that don't approve of Rapinoe & Co. because of sexuality, political stance, or whatever are making a mountain out of a molehill. Get a life!

Bull ****... Tell that to a family that lost a loved one defending our country...

Ya loser.

Look your entitled to your opinion and I respect that, I guess I grew up with family being in the military from little on up, and I was taught to respect the flag, since I’m a boomer maybe I can understand patriotism better back then it meant something. When you hear a veteran come to your grade school and tell you how ugly ww1 was and how he was gassed, it tends to stick with you. That’s why I’ve always said I just want sports on a sport calling show to a football game to a soccer game. But if they choose to become political I will call them out!!!!

If you read my first account of this, I mentioned that I suspected it was simply them being stupid and not realizing how disrespectful they were being. They owe everyone an apology for treating the flag like a rag. An apology would go a long way but I suspect it ain't coming at all. I too was in the military. I am a proud Marine. Any flag hitting the deck sets me off. Ironically last week I got in a back and forth about a bunch of people disgusted by a little kid carrying a rainbow flag at the Pride parade. I commented that I was triggered by the kid dragging the flag on the ground like he was.

First of all, I am a veteran. I've also had multiple family members serve and respecting the flag is something that is important for me. That being said, not everybody had the same upbringing and not everybody understands how to handle the flag. What the player did was clearly not an intentional disrespectful action, but many on here want to treat it as if it was. They are making a huge deal out of something very minor.

I'm sorry that it triggers you. What I saw in the tweet was something very minor. Would be worth pulling someone aside or having a team meeting to educate the players on how to act, but not something to blow up about.

I mean, it WAS you that came out with this sweet gem "Why are Trumpets such haters? They get triggered into a frenzy so quickly" when no one else had said anything about the president. Maybe I'm wrong I just cant be bothered to go back and look. Could you go ahead and google that for me?

First of all thank you for your service!!! I had a high school principal that was a marine in ww2 two kids were horsing around raising the flag they got a stern lecture, he would make you take off your hat or cap anytime a flag was present inside a building. I actually wouldn’t mind sitting down with you having a couple beers discussing this and other topics we disagree on. We just agree to disagree

Bro, for a troll - I mean, your name is "EATAFAT1" - you have some incredibly thin skin. The thread was already political, and the usual suspects came out to play, so I called it like I saw it.

Will you be disappointed if that doesn’t happen? It looks like someone who was caught in the moment and wasn’t thinking. That has no bearing, however, on the any potential response the team and/or the players involved could have. It would be simple for the team or players to issue a small statement. The only thing that would prevent that is pride. Everyone makes mistakes. If they don’t recognize it as one, they either don’t care or it wasn’t a mistake.

IDK, youre the one who broke out the with the Trump TDS, so calling me thin skinned a pretty rich. Its okay though, not owning it is par for the course with folks like you. Super triggered.

I'd be disappointed if the player gets asked about it and she responds negatively. I don't think they need to issue a statement either. Something like this should be handled internally but it should be addressed. @scarletred needs to mind his p's and q's too. That fool better not be caught slipping. Hats off for the flag, display his properly, the whole nine yards.

OK, Cletus. Please don't get hammered and kick your dog and beat your wife tonight because someone on a message board got you all triggered. Cops have better things to do than visit your trailer tonight.

Really? It happened on an international stage. That player or group of players need to come out and issue an apology for their carelessness at the very least. If they don't, they are fair game to keep hating on. If it was a simple mistake, just come out and say so. I suspect like an earlier post said, their ego will not allow this. Perhaps their coach or other players will need to come out and do this for them.

To each their own. If it’s me, I address it to control the message and acknowledge that I made a careless mistake. Like it or not, it is/will be talked about. To ignore it publicly is missing a simple opportunity to prevent this from turning into something that it likely wasn’t.

Now Let’s be classy, even though you and I differ on politics and other issues I respect you . Don’t lower yourself to name calling unless it to a Notre Dame, Iowa or kst fan.

I'm alright with the NRA
You know the disagreement we’ve had it’s what is wrong with today’s world. People are so thin skinned on both sides. That was used to make this country great people disagreeing with other but use to brush it off and go on with life, now you get some idiot get a gun or knife or use their car to hurt people just because they go butthurt.
