unless they can circumvent the laws of physics as we understand them
Isn't there where My Cousin Vinny says, "Does the law of physics fail to exist in your kitchen?"
unless they can circumvent the laws of physics as we understand them
lol....all these nutty theories and no mention of the most obvious and obviously correct one: faster than light travel is impossible, thus the distances are too great for civilizations to ever encounter each other. No matter how advanced a civilization is, unless they can circumvent the laws of physics as we understand them we will never meet them and vice versa except via a billion to one radio wave detection.

Yeah, it made no sense to me either. To the point where if it wasn't a released video I would've assumed it's bogus.I don't understand why, in the first video, the pursuit aircraft is in a permanent left bank.
Also - that video is almost identical to one that was released a couple of years ago. I can't, on the surface, find anything to distinguish them.
W/O the last sentence ,I a,m on Board.Finding aliens would be the best thing for the planet. Destroy religions, hopefully make us realize working as a planet would be a positive, hopefully would stop all of our fighting amongst ourselves and unite us as humans.
Or we would become some other species slaves.
"AS WE UNDERSTAND THEM" You nailed it.lol....all these nutty theories and no mention of the most obvious and obviously correct one: faster than light travel is impossible, thus the distances are too great for civilizations to ever encounter each other. Haven't a clue what you are talking about ,BUT I like it..I believe this is arguable. Something like an Alcubierre drive, for example, is theoretically possible under general relativity but would rely on the creation of exotic matter. We can't make any of this work, now, but that doesn't mean that in some future world of unified theory it couldn't be made to work.
You also would have to acknowledge that just because superluminal travel isn't possible, now, that doesn't mean that very high speed subluminal travel isn't. There are over 100 stellar systems within 40 light years of Earth. And, of course, there's time dilation...
How many camera phones on the planet? Still waiting
for the first picture/video of aliens and their spacecraft.
At that speed and bank angle, it would have been at least a full 360. If we're to believe that, then the UFO was literally flying circles around the fighter, but that isn't revealed in any of the narratives.
I hope your lady has a sense of humor. My wife just rolls her eyes at this point when I ask her where she is going anytime she picks up a broom
Forget where I saw it, but read someone joking on twitter, that the aliens likely to make contact on Earth aren't likely to be the working class "nice guys", it's going to be the aholes who used up all the resources on their home planet.
A few thoughts
1.--I never understood why people think it would destroy religion. It says god made us in his own image and that would still be true. And we also "know" that god created other animals so maybe he created them also. I don't remember it saying we are the only intelligent life form.
2.--just from a mathematical perspective there has to be other life forms out there. billions of stars, with billions of planets, the math is as close to 100% as you can get.
3--the odds of us finding someone is pretty remote and even if we did would we know we did. Just think of how far we have come in the last 10,000 years from caveman to now, and now image a species 1 million times older than us. We are a middle age galaxy, there are thousands of galaxies much much older than ours. We probably wouldn't even register on there radar as intelligent life.
It's not MrsScrew - she rides a broom.
We keep a broom in the car when it snows as it makes it much easier to brush snow off the car when you're parked somewhere. I sometimes tell my better half: "Hey, it's emergency transportation if you break down!"I hope your lady has a sense of humor. Humanity would be united for about a half a day before it was completely wiped from existence. Any species technologically advanced enough to cross the unfathomable distances of interstellar space would annihilate us at will. Aliens would have no reason use us as slaves.
Because all religions were created by humans, for humans, with basically zero knowledge of the workings of the universe. How would the discovery of an alien destroy religions?
Because all religions were created by humans, for humans, with basically zero knowledge of the workings of the universe.
Science has demonstrated that a creator is not necessary to have a universe, or multiple universes.
And although we haven't figured out the origin of life on earth, it seems likely that life is an inevitable consequence of the laws of physics and chemistry.
Religions were created out of ignorance. We are curious animals that seek answers and problem solve. One of the consequences of that is when we can't find the answer to a big question, we tend to invent one that puts us center stage.
You seem to have great faith in this random alien landing here and explaining to you all of the mysteries of the universe.
He may be hoping for you to do the same for him.
Any beings capable of traversing the immensity of space and time would observe our stewardship of Earth and declare us "the planet of the idiots".
This is a good point. At the extremes (very small, very fast) the laws of physics start to break down and contradict themselves. There is a lot we still don't know...unless they can circumvent the laws of physics as we understand them...
Yeah aliens are going to master interstellar travel so you can convert them to a two thousand year old religion (based mostly around other older parables). Makes sense. They’ll be like “he walked on water?!?!?! That’s amazing...oh wait we just traversed the known universe.”You seem to have great faith in this random alien landing here and explaining to you all of the mysteries of the universe.

If I had to guess, I think “aliens” are inter-dimensional beings.
And I bet they already know who God is since they are most likely demons anyway.
Would be living proof discrediting origin and creation stories of life. How would the discovery of an alien destroy religions?

One of us has made a career in science. You've repeatedly demonstrated you'd flunk middle school science. I'd be glad to put together a nice reading list for you. Let me know.Wrong and your anti-religious prejudice is showing. Again.
Hahahahaha what a nut.If I had to guess, I think “aliens” are inter-dimensional beings.

He's in the mixI think that was De'Antwan 'The Rocket' Williams working out.
Any beings capable of traversing the immensity of space and time wouldn't even notice us while they take whatever they want and moved on....
