This isn't just random postulating about the topic, because the pentagon released 3 videos today that Were previously classified. Would love to get the perspectives of some of the more intelligent or aeronautical people in the boards.

I don't understand why, in the first video, the pursuit aircraft is in a permanent left bank.

Also - that video is almost identical to one that was released a couple of years ago. I can't, on the surface, find anything to distinguish them.

Aliens want nothing to do with this planet...dolphins, elephants and ravens? Those creatures they may be interested in!!

Finding aliens would be the best thing for the planet. Destroy religions, hopefully make us realize working as a planet would be a positive, hopefully would stop all of our fighting amongst ourselves and unite us as humans.

Or we would become some other species slaves.

Turning to follow seemingly at a very constant pace. I'm not a HUD expert but the number counting down at the center top seems to indicate a left turn.

At that speed and bank angle, it would have been at least a full 360. If we're to believe that, then the UFO was literally flying circles around the fighter, but that isn't revealed in any of the narratives.

Forget where I saw it, but read someone joking on twitter, that the aliens likely to make contact on Earth aren't likely to be the working class "nice guys", it's going to be the aholes who used up all the resources on their home planet.

I would love if an alien captured me right now....just saying..
Considering some of the posts on the "who would you like to be in quarantine with thread", I wouldn't give the posters on this board an open invitation if I were you

Humanity would be united for about a half a day before it was completely wiped from existence. Any species technologically advanced enough to cross the unfathomable distances of interstellar space would annihilate us at will. Aliens would have no reason use us as slaves.

The Fermi paradox, the formula for says it's mathematically impossible for there to not be aliens, has 3 theories to why we haven't met them

1. We are the most advanced species. Thus we lead the space race (and knowing us we become #2).

2. Anytime a species reaches x technological point in the galaxy the most advanced species shows up and annihilates them from becoming a threat.

3 alien species are so advanced, that they care very little about us, and we don't even notice them. The example would be does an ant notice a highway across the yard from it's colony.

Reading the entire paper is pretty mind blwoingly cool.

lol....all these nutty theories and no mention of the most obvious and obviously correct one: faster than light travel is impossible, thus the distances are too great for civilizations to ever encounter each other. No matter how advanced a civilization is, unless they can circumvent the laws of physics as we understand them we will never meet them and vice versa except via a billion to one radio wave detection.

A few thoughts

1.--I never understood why people think it would destroy religion. It says god made us in his own image and that would still be true. And we also "know" that god created other animals so maybe he created them also. I don't remember it saying we are the only intelligent life form.

2.--just from a mathematical perspective there has to be other life forms out there. billions of stars, with billions of planets, the math is as close to 100% as you can get.

3--the odds of us finding someone is pretty remote and even if we did would we know we did. Just think of how far we have come in the last 10,000 years from caveman to now, and now image a species 1 million times older than us. We are a middle age galaxy, there are thousands of galaxies much much older than ours. We probably wouldn't even register on there radar as intelligent life.
