This country needs a peaceful separation. The two parties and people who support them are not even remotely on the same page anymore. There is no more reasoning or logic. We are clearly at the decline of our once great republic.

Regardless of who you think won the debates, I just don't understand anyone that wants to see us move toward socialism, which a large portion of the Democrats and their party are now touting. Its awful. Why would you move to the greatest system in the world to the worst? Do some people make a lot more than me? Sure. But the lowest income earners here fare much better than the middle class in a lot of countries.
Dems-- why do you think socialism will be better for anyone?

So are you for removing Social Security, all public education, National Parks, all government built roads, the military, the police forces? All of these (and more) are government ran items off taxpayer dollars. How about trillions on printed money to keep private citizens and companies above water? Subsidies to protect our food supply and farmers? Why is it shrugged off that government gets taxpayer funded healthcare while millions in the country struggle to keep insurance? Why should Government inject themselves into keeping jobs? Shouldn’t we just let the market do what it does?

Has it always been this way? Or was the divide inevitable ? Personally for me politics were never a huge part of my life until Trump. I just dont like the guy. I will say the thing that drove me off Facebook were the Qanon folks and seeing people I knew my entire life start spewing that nonsense was a blow to me. Like I just cannot associate with people that say or believe that craziness. Lifelong friendships have had to end. I read where Facebook was starting to ban the Cult groups but its like whack a mole where you put one out another comes up. Like these people thought Trump was on Air Force 1 the last week and didnt catch the virus. Reality is slipping for many and like I said before mental health seems to be at an all time low. Kidnapping a governor, rioting in Portland....enough is enough

Personally I thought the VP debate was pretty even, but I did not like that Sen Harris talked down to the people when she felt the need to tell us what debt and bounties were.
Does she think American voters are stupid?

If Biden wins she will be proven right. GBA/GBR

Isn't that just where we are as a nation? There are the dyed-in-the-wool Trumpians, but there are just as many people who see him as the lesser of two evils. Loads of people in the middle to left are not particularly enamored with Biden-Harris, but they can't stomach another 4 years of the Trumpster fire. I realize the right disagrees with this view, but y'all went from fairly moderate candidates to the extreme in Trump. He isn't even a Republican. He's a reality TV host. Throughout political history extremes have always called up their natural opposites. The further Republicans move to the right the more we'll be seeing far left-wing candidates, which is sure to exacerbate the divide. Bank on it!

He may have been a "Reality TV Host" at one time but one way or another we now have 3 yrs of accomplishments to judge him by. I suggest we judge him on his 3 yrs in office - one way or another. JMHO. GBA/GBR

At least there are no slobbering goobers here claiming that the fly was really a top-secret communication device.

Although, the day is young.

Trust me. You might be surprised. ( LOL Have to admit I've never been called a "slobbering goober" before) JMHO. GBA/GBR.

Leave Trump's personality out of it for just a minute if you can. What policies do you disagree with?

Please explain how Republicans have gone further right. I feel they have gone further left to try and keep up with the ultra left. The left has gone so far left it makes the right seem far away when I'm far it really isn't.

You need to get over personalities and into the reality of life and freedoms.

Very well said.. Majority of the people hare Trump no matter what he does or has accomplished, and true he a loud mouth thinks he knows and can’t stop twitting for the life of him, which is the reason I don’t like him but he has did more good for this country than Biden has or will ever do..

I believe Trump twits so much because it's the only way to get his message out - the press sure as hell isn't going to. JMHO. GBA/GBR.

Exactly. Why would any network give a positive spin on anything he does beyond Fox. And that depends on the person at the time.

I dont trust Fox news. They give Democrats and liberals way to much time as compared to the other stations. They hardly ever give an opposite opinion. I watch them all.

I'm a little confused by "Government gets taxpayer funded healthcare". I'm retired Gov't and trust me when I say I pay for health care. I do totally agree that it is great. My wife passed from cancer recently and I never paid a dime. GBA/GBR

Unrelated but mental health is a huge problem in our country. Not right or left just all over people are having a hard time with things and extremism is getting more and more violent.

Of course mental health is a big issue across this country. We talk science but then confuse our kids with their multiple genders. We tell them lies about how terrible this country is and that is what they expect. We give trophies for showing up (or not) and when the prof or boss asks for production we break down and cry. Families are spit apart and too many expect schools to be the parent and we wonder why there are mental issues? Not to even mention the amount of legal and illegal drugs consumed by adults who conceive these kids and condone their use. Shocking revelation.

You just strengthened the argument against collectivism. Everything the gov't does (outside of defense and law enforcement) is over-priced and under-delivers.
The reason low-info people think highly of all the things you mentioned is because they are subsidized by stealing money from future generations so they look like a bargain, but only to uninformed people.
The Bill for 60 consecutive years of generational theft is coming due. I'm guessing you only vote for politicians who promise "free stuff" for voters. Just look at JBs latest commercials. Everything is free if you vote for Joe. Oh I know the republicans are also guilty. But they at least talk about limits on gov't. Your side can't acknowledge that too little gov't is better than too much.

I find it very hard for anyone to be swayed one way or the other by the debates. People are in one camp or the other. We need to focus on getting as many to the polls as possible and for those who can't provide as many drop locations as possible to include as many people as we can. I still hope to see it as a national holiday some time soon. Some states are already making it a holiday

Suggesting that Defense and Law Enforcement are the only Gov functions that are priced correctly is kind of hilarious. Last I looked, US spends more on military than the next 7 largest militaries in the world COMBINED. Then you might want to double check the admin costs for Social Security or Medicare, and compare that with a typical Mutual Fund or your Insurance Co. Generational theft? True. The wealthiest 1% have most definitely gobbled up the vast majority of wealth gains in this country the past 40 years. You have that correct. You have this idea that what you are saying is in line with Rep party, or some pragmatic idea of what Gov should be, but in fact, you have no idea what you are talking about.

Unlike you, I don’t feel the need to take a “side”. I am happy to pay my share, and I don’t subscribe to the theory that if we can’t make things perfect that it’s a waste to try to make things better.

Each economic system has winners and losers, the “left” acts like there’s infinite resources to fund things while the right acts like there’s only so much to go around and uses scare tactics about how we can’t afford things. The rich in this country benefit from education, roads and a police force that uses public funds to protect them from criminal acts. The poor get help from welfare and subsidized lifestyles. Regardless of whether you are bothered by it or not, there are many areas in the US where people grow up with broken education systems and little support to escape those systems. It’s easy if you haven’t lived that to say they just need some “personal responsibility”. It’s as if they, themselves, climbed out of their mothers womb, gathered food from day one, thought themselves how to read and write and how to be a decent person. Growing up poor deeply impacts your developing brain and wires you in a way that is difficult to overcome.

I’ve crossed both sides of the fence, lived poor and really freaking comfortable. I try not to forget where I came from, and I think it’s important that we take care of others.

Why isn’t everyone freaking out about the attempted kidnapping of a sitting Governor? Isn’t this big news?

Sorry, did you say accomplished? You are soft in the head, aren't you. It's a pretty sad day when the Borg embraces a despicable slug simply because they like the extreme agenda he's shoved down the throat of the American public. Destroy the environment? Check! Stack the court with extremist judges? Check! Alienate our allies? Check! Nuzzle up to dictators? Check! Undermine our foremost experts in everything from economics and science to military and basic governance? Check! Spark race riots? Check! Undermine our place in the world? Double check! Allow a pandemic to devastate our economy and kill 210,000 Americans? Check and check! Good thing his personality is the only thing to worry about. Am I right, scarlet?

Kamala, is that you?

Let’s close our eyes for a minute and pretend that members associated with BLM were arrested for planning to kidnap a sitting Governor. If you could see yourself being beside yourself mad in that scenario, but not here, you might want to rethink how you process the news.

Doesn’t even make sense. On one hand, you say Trump isn’t even a Republican. On the other hand, you say Biden/Harris is a reaction to Republicans/conservatives going further right... i.e, electing Trump.

Here’s the truth. Democratic policy has been heading in this direction for a long time. Trump just gave them the excuse to blow the top off. But don’t put that on conservatives.

Scarlet baby, go cry someplace else. I'd give a flying fig what you thought if you called for all of the political talk to cease, but you don't. You only care that your precious little eyes don't have to read ideas that conflict with your views. Go huff and puff in a corner.

So, Mike Pence goes into a bar with a fly on his head. The bartender asks, “what can I do for you”, and the fly says, “can you get this guy off my ***?”
