A Golf Digest article ( link below) has this in itNot so fast on OGWR points, at least for two tournaments.
You really think the LIV won't change to 4 rounds for this?? There is no rule required to have a cut of half the field to get points. The DP has many events without a mandatory cut.A Golf Digest article ( link below) has this in it
OWGR says no (for now) to LIV Golf's workaround to get World Ranking points | Golf News and Tour Information | GolfDigest.com
>The process for OWGR inclusion can take one or two years to complete—and after that there is a standard three-year probationary period. Furthermore, the OWGR bylaws state that a prospective tour must adhere to the OWGR guidelines for at least one year immediately prior to inclusion. That would seemingly keep LIV Golf outside the OWGR universe until at least 2024.<

The only thing I think is that the LIV will find moves to make, feel they got the game in hand and find out that move might not get them where they want to go.You really think the LIV won't change to 4 rounds for this?? Really?? This small Rutgers board doesn't feel that way. The PGA is panicking with a response by Tiger and Rory coming up with a computer contest that is totally ridiculous. The only thing I think is that the LIV will find moves to make, feel they got the game in hand and find out that move might not get them where they want to go.
Truth. If they dumped Monahan, things would get better very quickly.Monahan needs to go. He screwed this up and comes across as a douche. And this comes from a guy that is not a Norman fan.

I don't like both either. But my biggest problem was that Monahan took the LIV as a threat (which was foolish on so many counts) when he should have looked at it as a great opportunity. He has acted like a child, not a businessman from the beginning.Monahan has ham fisted this thing but acting like Norman isn't a big problem here is kind of funny. If Monahan needs to go, so does Norman. Norman is a snake and a liar and it wouldn't matter who ran the PGA Tour, they'd struggle to take him at his word. Norman would tell the Tour one thing to their face and then turn around and do what's best for him.
That's probably the real issue here. The two guys driving this confrontation - Monahan and Norman - might be the biggest reasons this thing is a **** show mess right now.

Greg Norman is irrelevant. All Monahan had to do was stop being a dick to players and LIV would have never existed.I tend to agree but then again, look at who he was dealing with - Norman, who you can't trust at all. I think that was part (not all) of the reason the PGA Tour took the stance they took. Norman could easily have told the PGA Tour they wouldn't do this or that and then a few months later, Norman would absolutely go back on it if it benefitted him.
Put it another way. If Jack Nicklaus or Gary Player or Lee Trevino or some one like that had been the driving force behind LIV, something tells me an agreement would have been worked out.

Holy crap did you miss the point!LIV wanted most of the Top 20 players and ended up with 2. Cannot argue with results. No TV deal and no points is not having the better hand. Time will tell if LIV can survive two more seasons like this.
Didn’t miss it. Just didn’t feel like beating the dead horse. Like I said, time will tell.Holy crap did you miss the point!
Which places did you visit inside? Heard about the weather. A big Oktoberfest festival in Philly was postponed last Saturday moved to next Saturday. Going to one tonight and tomorrow indoors at the Philadelphia Armory. Prosit!Didn’t miss it. Just didn’t feel like beating the dead horse. Like I said, time will tell.
Btw, just got back from Munich/Oktoberfest. Attendance was down by 500k due to poor weather and COVID spike. Had a great time.
PGA might be panicking but they're not rolling over and dying and I doubt what this small Rutgers board feels has an impact on the PGA's decision to make it as had as possible for the LIV to survive without costing their backers a lot of money to keep it going and buy partnerships in the hope of getting recognition.U

The LIV has played a better hand so far. The PGA screwed this up.
Never said they were dying. Actually I've said from Day 1 the LIV is not a threat to the PGA in any sense. But could have been a great partner to get the top players extra money without the PGA spending a dime. So mishandled by the PGA.PGA might be panicking but they're not rolling over and dying and I doubt what this small Rutgers board feels has an impact on the PGA's decision to make it as had as possible for the LIV to survive without costing their backers a lot of money to keep it going and buy partnerships in the hope of getting recognition.
But as I've been saying since this thread started, the money will be there to fund the fight for status and the PGA and LIV will eventually call a truce and work out a deal where they can coexist in peace.
To me it looks like the PGA didn't screw up it's fight for dominance but didn't keep as much control as they thought they would.
The LIV looked like it was getting the upper hand, then lost the advantage they thought they had and the courts didn't make their claims against the PGA get the desired effect the LIV though would happen.
Nice. I like the 1L for my first one after that it's like being married to a heavy mug lol.Was at the Fischer Vroni tent drinking Augustiner brau. 13 euro for a 1 L. What a deal. Couldn’t do more than 4 because of volume
Gained an inch on my biceps. I made sure I got both sides in.Nice. I like the 1L for my first one after that it's like being married to a heavy mug lol.
Augustiner is a fantastic brewery. Makes the world's greatest Helles lager.
Just one bicep lolGained an inch on my biceps. I made sure I got both sides in.
What's the point? Rory took money to show up. Going by the way you explained it in the past, that makes it an exhibition. Now you want to compare HOW much he was paid vs. other players? It's an appearance fee no matter how big or small. How much was it? Same rate as Cam for 150mm?
At least someone is watching the silly season. Was pulling for Ricky to win the Zozo. Glad to see his game is coming around.
Nice to see Brooks K win today after a 3-hole playoff. The big names are rocking LIV.
It counts for $4.75m. LIV is a global tour.If there's no one to see Brooks make the putt does it count?

Didn’t watch it. It’s on way too late.At least someone is watching the silly season.
+1PGA Tour to announce prize money will be increased to at least $20 million for 4 more tourneys a year on a rotating basis. In '23 the 4 will be Waste Mgmt, Heritage, Wells Fargo, and Travelers.
Tour players say thanks LIV.
You keep saying that but it isn’t true. LIV never was willing or interested in the fall alone. The CJ Open is on TV right now. The announcers are scrubs and so are the golfers. Is this worth it?? This should be the LIV slot and they would have jumped on it. The PGA could have shut it down for 8 or ten weeks and lose anything.
