You see some weird **** on this board, but I can't think of anything quite as weird as a guy with TWO POSTS who revives a year plus old thread on chiros.... and his other post is a country style rib recipe! Welcome to the board!

I have had good results and would go back again. The first one I went to had done construction before and graduated at the top of his class at a well known school, which was a plus for me. I scoff at anyone whom makes clear cut statements of how they are quacks or frauds. When I was in pain I would have tried almost anything and didn't care what anybody else thought. I have tried acupuncture, it didn't work. Is it all BS ? I had a Native amercan elder heal a problem with a crystal, fact. Placebo effects ? You couldn't convince me. Either way I have been healed.

I have done crazy **** all my life, falling, or jumping off things, fighting, football, wrestling, etc., and also grew up on a farm, then farmed myself into my mid 30s, worked in the off season in both beef and pork plants, and have now been in the construction trades since, so plenty of places to tweak alignment out of whack.

My first experience with chiro was for lower back pain (big surprise, right...lol) and after getting an adjustment, was told to make an appointment for follow up, either the next day, or soon after. I made the appointment, but never went back because I was able to go to work, and get through the days. The guy I went to, used to travel on the rodeo circuit, and treated cowboys who were busted up, and needed treatment just to ride that day. He told me I reminded him of some of those guys. First time or two, he'd say 'take it easy for a few days, and I want to see you back in the office in a day or two'. to which I'd say, 'Doc, I'm going back to work from here, and wont be back unless I cant work', and that is what happened.

That relationship worked great after that. I always paid with cash, ($50 per visit)

Jump forward a bunch of years, and the guy finally retires, so I go on a referral to a young, new guy. When we met, I told him about my old Doc, and our arrangement. He was skeptical, but agreed for us to try it. After seeing me a time or two w/o any follow up care, he acknowledged I meant it, and we just went with it. Also always cash pay.

He's a good friend now, that I hope I rarely get to see.

It feels good, that is for sure and if you feel good or feel better afterwards that is all that matters and as far as them marketing, what the hell are they supposed to do?

They are running a business. Do you get mad when Target has an ad?

You could say the same about the medical community who
-1) push pills which only treat symptoms instead of addressing the underlying issue.
-2) provide chemo therapy which destroys the immune system, instead of addressing the underlying issue, which caused cancer to develop.
-3) remove things from the body(surgery), which also doesn't address why those things needed removed in the first place.

When is the last time you heard any medical doctor implicate diet or toxicity in any disease? I was told by a medical doctor I could eat anything I wanted and it had nothing to do with illness?

fyi:I was told I had 2 years to live.........................25 years ago. They could not diagnose what I had. I had been to 15 different doctors culminating with Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

I had a doctor tell me I was the most "stubborn" patient he ever had.
To this day, I wear that comment ...."as a badge of honor". Studies have shown that those who participate in their wellness have better outcomes than those who blindly follow a physicians advice.

The body is intelligent and self regulating. Medications alter this regulation. Is your blood-pressure high? Well, you can take a pill, OR, you can try to determine why the BP is high and make changes to address it. Most people would rather take a pill instead of changing their diet. Thats the main difference I see between doctors and Chiropractors.

Now, as in any profession, there are competent and incompetent. In either case, educate yourself so you can participate in your own wellness.

That's only a partial opinion on the subject.
The body IS intelligent! You are on to something here. Problem is, its difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff. I have a fatty liver. (Probably from alcohol use, but could be sugar related as i am a sweet eating machine). But trying to find out what supplements are beneficial and which are phony is tough.

It sounds to me like your wife didn't choose the best chiropractor. I've been seeing off for the past four years. And After the first treatment, my doctor said to not come unless something felt wrong. Of course, I was recommended to stay more in bed and not do a lot of physical activity at first. But they even recommended starting working from home to keep me occupied. And I developed an app that asked a custom web designer from the central coast to make a little design. The next time I went, we talked about how great I'd been doing.

But they can cure cancer and make allergies go away. 🤪
God that is a tired comeback…….

Funny you should bring up allergies… my uncle is a MD (ER) who prescribed me Seldane for 7 years for allergies (this is in the 80’s). I still had occasional allergies. Hurt my back in high school- did pain killers/PT for 6 weeks- finally my dad took me to a Chiro , he adjusted my back and felt my neck too and asked if I had allergies- he adjusted me about 6-7 times and it was with better results— Back pain gone and allergies better. Got off Seldane only to find out years later they removed from shelves after finding out it caused kidney/liver damage. There was even a class action lawsuit about Seldane.
My point in this long story is - is my uncle (MD) a quack too?

The promotional policy is the most popular marketing domain. One of the most frequent criticisms is the one about misleading messages, which in many situations is difficult to prove. This happens to the fact that the messages are often not explicit enough, therefore the way people understand them differs from individual to individual. Generally speaking, advertising is considered unethical when it is too aggressive, both by the nature of the message and by the frequency with which it is broadcast. If you're looking to identify how your business can dominate your industry and get objective results, at https://prosvit.design/, you can get professional help and end-to-end web solutions from a top team.

If we're talking about deceptive marketing look at the "jab" being pushed. It was promised to work and get life back to normal but we're seeing it really doesn't help in preventing it or against new variants which natural immunity does amazing well at.

Breakthrough cases are the norm. It may help with preventing severity but is it worth the side effects, myocarditis, guillon barre etc. And if the product was so great, why are they immune from liabiltiy. It's still being tested, normally these products take years to be approved but they got emergency use authorization to be used and its being pushed for kids, which aren't really affected.

We also have to keep wearing masks even though they said we didn't. It's the greatest fraud ever put on humans. The lockdowns reduced deaths by .2%

The Mccullough protocol (which was used by Rogan, Rogers and others) has been shown to be far superior if caught early. But now the fda bans monoclonal antibodies? And doctors that disapprove of the vax are silenced.

I'd take any treatment outside of the medical system right now. Medicine is for emergency use only in my opinion. The only thing that makes sense is that they made the virus to make huge profits on the vaccine and increase government control.

If you still believe medicine is safer than any alternative like chiropractic your crazy. Go to the doctor for back pain they'll give you pain medication (and possibly get you hooked on opioids) and if that doesn't work you have surgery.

I think that the goal of chiropractic care is to provide safe, effective, and individualized treatment to help patients achieve optimal health and well-being. Also, I recently discovered this service https://www.intellectsoft.net/servic...pment-services which helps with app development. They have all the skills and knowledge required to build an impactful app. And their app development services have solved numerous issues.

I am glad so many of you have had positive experiences with chiropractors; if it makes you feel better and all of that, great!

Here's where they are different from doctors: Their stuff is not peer-reviewed. They don't do studies and they don't have proof that what they are doing does anything other than crack you and make you feel some relief temporarily from certain kinds of pain, specifically lower back pain. It is separate from the medical community for this very reason.

That's how they differ from doctors, to the earlier post about "Well how are they different?" And that is a very big difference. Doctors offer treatments that are proven to work.

- Chemotherapy may suck a lot, but it can help get rid of cancer. For now, its one of the best treatments we have.
- Pain pills are terrible and addictive, but we need pain alleviation. Also, its not just doctors who are responsible for the opiod crisis, its drug companies as well.
- Surgeries are necessary?

Just saying.
You are aware that one of the top experts on the credibility of medical research estimates that up to 90% of medical research is flawed and that most published is false, right?

I think with covid it's obvious that our medical and pharmaceutical model is only interested in money. The vaccine was created before covid was released. It was released to make money, and the vaccine neither helps prevent covid or prevent you from spreading covid. And with the increase in sudden death due to the vaccine, and how the treatments given actually caused more death, I have no faith in the medical system outside of emergencies.

The beauty is that no one forces you to seek medical attention - go to the ER or hospital.
I’m sure that chest pain is nothing - good luck 👍
the chest pain is due to clotting from the clot shot. The spike protein is causing myocarditis, cancers, miscarriage and even affecting womens cycles and found in sperm. When the vax was given to mice it significantly reduced fertility in mice, which are probably the most prolific mammals on the planet.

They’ve been researching a cure for the common cold (a Corona virus) for 40 years. The vaccines they were working on were for the previous SARS outbreak which was closely related to this latest version of Corona virus. IMO the vaccine probably saved my life and lives of multiple friends of mine who are either elderly or have weakened immune systems. To that I give a big thank you to “big pharma” and the orange man for kicking asses to get it to market.

C’mon man. Social media has propagated a lot of false interpretations of data sets. While there no doubt were rare instances of severe adverse reactions to COVID vaccines there is ZERO doubt that they saved millions of lives and allowed our country to get on with life. FWIW my wife is still seeing people die from the variants of COVID because your buddies made them afraid of the vaccine.

FWIW a friend of mine now has myocarditis from an Adeno virus she got from her grandkids. I’m sure the vaccines she took 2 years ago are causing that too 🙄

You realize that as a result of posts like this the government knows your identify and you and your family members have been flagged in medical databases to receive only sham therapies including surgeries - the meds - antibiotics - testing etc you receive going forward will all be fake

The doctors office - emergency room and hospital are the last place you want to go - you and your loved ones are no longer safe

Chiropractors ARE quacks and their tactics are snake-oil salesman-esque.

I would say this: Getting cracked does FEEL good. Also, the one and only thing chiropractic care has been shown to POSSIBLY alleviate is lower back pain.

Basically, they are as effective as a massage, if even that. I would maybe go once or twice a year if I felt like something was super off, but otherwise, I avoid them, because they are not doctors, they market in slimy ways, and they can actually hurt you if they mess up.
Hmm... Explain that to my wife then who receives relief from her chronic headaches whenever she gets into the chiropractor...

Chiropractic began when a guy claimed to have been visited by a ghost & told to crack the spine of a deaf man to make him hear again.

they are not doctors & should not be associated with actual medical professionals. it is, without a doubt, complete BS.

Dingle, you are rational and levelheaded on most things except when it comes to the Covid shot. Plenty of highly respected scientists and doctors have come out against it and it has cost many of them greatly. It has nothing to do with misinterpreted data sets on social media. They are being proven right, BTW. Plenty of the data on the adverse effects is in the Covid shot trial data itself. Why else do you think Pharma wanted 75 years to release it?

I also wouldn't laugh at people who post that they have lost all confidence in the medical establishment at this point. Given what's happened in the last three years (and actually longer) that is a perfectly reasonable position to hold. Of course, there are still plenty of people in the medical field who are doing their best to help people and there are obviously treatments that work, but it's become apparent to me and many others that most are part of the machine and unwilling to depart from the approved narrative which is being dictated by Pharma. That became blatantly obvious during Covid.

Thats crazy. You must be a Dr. I went to my Dr for foot problems. Gave me pain meds....didnt work....sent me to a specialist....told me to buy a $300 pair of shoes (thats not happening) only thing his dumbass could offer. Went to a chiropractor and within 2 months the pain was gone. That was about 4 years ago. Still have no pain in my feet. Drs are a joke and are in it for the money. Some go off of an app and ask you questions to diagnose you from the app. Talk about quacks.

Went to Dr for hip pain and they sent me to do x-rays. Had to call them back 2 weeks later to see what they found out. Oh nothings broke so just get some rest. Thanks Ill google my symptoms from now on, they seem to know more.

I've never been to a chiro but I have to admit that my wife was suffering from really bad hip pain and her experience with a Dr. mirrored yours. It was basically, "we took and x-ray and didn't see anything. We think you might be getting arthritis, sorry." No help. She basically went to a chiro out of desperation and he solved it. Whatever, it worked.

Hip pain can be a pain to diag...if its arthritis thats easy...if its something else...good luck. While back, after being blasted by a car doin 45 on a bike ride I underwent hip hell for 5 years...every scan and x ray said noting was wrong...every time they operated on it, they found a problem the scans didn't pick up. 4th surgery was the charm....glad your wife found relief with a chiro and didnt have to rely on an operation.

I’m a scientist at heart and IMO there were mistakes made on both sides of the COVID debate. Mandatory vaccination was extremely foolish just as spreading hysteria about the vaccine was wrong. Both were wrong. I said from the start that shutting down schools wasn’t supportable by the facts. There’s a CDC guy on Fox now repeating virtually the same thing I’m saying. If you’re old or immunocompromized get vaccinated. Kids don’t need it

And yet you blame people who discouraged vaccination for the deaths of people who got later variants of the virus. Ever think that it was vaccinating in the middle of a pandemic for the first time ever that was way more cause for the variants than people who didn't get the shot? Or what about the fact that it is proven the shot doesn't prevent spread or keep someone from getting it for more than a couple months if at all? Not only that, but there is data showing that you are more likely to get Covid if you have gotten the shot. If there is a study that proves that it actually reduces symptoms, I haven't seen it. Lots of anecdotal claims of that and that's what became the narrative after all the lies about how it prevents spread, etc., were proven false.

There's also plenty of doubt that the Covid shots saved millions of lives. If that's the case, why was mortality rates basically the same during the height of Covid but all caused mortality rates have spiked ever since the Covid shots were rolled out? You can also make light of the increased myocarditis, but sudden death of young, healthy athletes on the field has gone from around 900 total over the past 30 years to close to 2,000 since the Covid shot came out. Do you think that's just a coincidence? I think it's becoming more and more apparent that the Covid shots are costing more lives than they saved.

You can believe what you want, but to belittle and talk down to people who think differently than you on this isn't warranted.

Think differently….. you mean ignore recommendations from professionals trained to evaluate and interpret medical literature?

If you “think different” than trained professionals, you might want to take an introspective look at the validity of your thought processes.

I was just thinking about that topic the other day. There were a lot of good people who lost their lives to COVID. But thankfully a lot of us are still here. And so is this thread!

In a "where are they now" segment: My wife stopped going to the chiropractor and eventually got better with a stretching regimen and rest.

Dingle has been pretty clear on who he thinks the shot works for. The elderly, those with comorbidities & immune compromised. And that the vax does essentially nothing for the young & healthy.

He's never said anything about never getting Covid nor being able to spread it after you get the vax so it's strange that you're responding to him about that.
