A statement piece for any serious collection, the Double Eagle Very Rare 20 Year Old Bourbon from Eagle Rare is perhaps the most decadent and
beautifully crafted bourbon whiskey in the world, both inside and outside the bottle. Beset with two crystal glass eagle sculptures, this handcrafted, custom
decanter is eye-catching and elegant, and will certainly make a lasting impression upon any serious whiskey connoisseur. Aged for twice as long as the
standard Eagle Rare iteration, the 20 Year old 'Very Rare' No. 3 has an upgraded 101 proof, making it an even complex and captivating high-end whiskey,
which presents a fantastic balance of vanilla caramel and warm toasted oakiness, all the while oozing luxurious class and style.
I bet Hy Vee doesn't carry this one. Eek

****. I've found 1 bottle of Trace here in 2 years.

Sorry man. All that stuff is common here. Blantons can be a little difficult sometimes, but the rest is easy to get. I dont really drink BT very much anymore. I keep a full bottle on display in my bar though.

I like a lot of the BT brands. If I were ranking:

Sazerac
Buffalo Trace
Eagle Rare/Blantons tie
EH Taylor small Batch

Question for all the bourbon drinkers on here. How do you drink your bourbon? Straight. No ice. Mix with something? Blasphemy. Manhattan, Old fashioned? I like on the rocks. Pour over glass of ice. Then drink as the Ice melts it dilutes it.

Neat sometimes otherwise over a single large cube preferably filtered before frozen. I bought some square cube molds online from Buffalo Trace. The round ones are easier. I was at a dinner party one time where the guy had a machine that would instantly freeze a cube. I think it used liquid nitrogen.

That's me. I prefer beer. But later in the evening I might pour me a 1/4 shot. Just sip it. Enjoying all the flavors. Sometimes I use a Glencairn glass. I have to be in the mood. I've got nice rocks glasses. Those are for someone else besides me.

I was gonna but decided to buy a brand new truck. Fvcking crazy price.
A buddy gave me a bottle of Blantons last night for Christmas. I’m not sure he had planned on that but I gave he and his wife a 7lb whole tenderloin. I’m starting to feel like a Bourbon horder.
