People were offering to drive Rossi to the airport when he was here.I'd take Rossi over Robb/Sparber. Can't get worse. For that matter, I'd take Martini and Rossi over the current two.
sometimes what you have makes the bad ones more like "the one that got away" then good riddancePeople were offering to drive Rossi to the airport when he was here.

Luke Fickell is a name to think about ,if he's let go by WisconsinI would imagine our next DC will be Belichek Jr or GS himself.
I'd have to amend this. JF's large buyout makes me think lots of things are possible now that I didn't think were before. Fickell at 27M, Stoops just under 40M etc..Don’t agree with her. We didn’t see much last year iirc so you might expect a rebound this year. I still think we’ll see more patience now than we would have because the numbers are too big and it’s dead money at a time when you’re playing players as well. If the numbers are prohibitive like 20-25M+ I think you’ll see more patience by and large, under that and I think you can see a potential move made.
I think Gundy’s buyout is 15M. They just negotiated it down recently iirc. Pry (7M) and Foster (6.5M) are also lower. Show me multiple “everyday” schools not Texas Texas A&M types paying at least 20-30M in buyouts and then I’ll believe it.
I could see Pittman getting the boot too if he doesn’t do well this year. I don’t think his buyout is prohibitive either.
Doesn't sound like they exchange Christmas Cards.Luke Fickell is a name to think about ,if he's let go by Wisconsin
Don't sound like there's bad blood, nor the type of warmth friends have.Doesn't sound like they exchange Christmas Cards.

Wisconsin’s Luke Fickell hasn’t stayed in contact with Greg Schiano

Mel Tucker is thinking to himself somewhere that it would have been a lot cheaper to use a call girl service instead of making moves on the sexual harassment trainer. So much for those shorter, more reasonable HC contracts. If a HC has big success on the field, the offers seem to be almost unlimited.
I don't have a problem with the big salaries when the coach is performing. Pay 12M last year to CC, he deserves it. If he does the same this year, he deserves it. The problem is the salaries and buyout figures when you're not performing and performance can drop for anyone regardless of what may be happening in the present.Well in a few years the buyout will be in the Franklin category.
I always wondered why a school couldn't extend the years add mega bucks bit have a time limit before
the extension salary would be used for buyout.
I'd say one year before original contract would expire and if let go before original contract expired the time left on original would be paid in full for the years left , then what years left because of the extension the buyout would be paid half of what salary he made due to the extension.
If canned after original expiration date, full extension salary for the remaining years school would owe .
I'm probably naive to think that way, but when schools pay giant buyouts- the fans complain and schools ( boosters) set themselves up for them anyway just to keep a HC or entice them to come after paying through the nose to get rid of the last one
or he found a spot that he can recruit at his own pace, not one that SEC schools need to win.Yea I heard comments from him that he wants to be there through next year…so not a 1 and done…maybe a 2 and done lol.
But the B1G recruiting "pace" is fine for him!or he found a spot that he can recruit at his own pace, not one that SEC schools need to win.
I would say 2 years like you said is the truth , because if he has a great season next year it will be hard to turn down the type of offers he'll be getting
Maybe at NorthwesternBut the B1G recruiting "pace" is fine for him!![]()

Sounds like he’s a nice guy listening to CFB media and they have talent but he hasn’t been able to put it together. Also his game management is highly questionable, including yesterday’s Miss St game which they very nearly lost because his decisions.
Hugh Freeze could have helped with that, though I'm sure he would have told him not to use the school's phone.Mel Tucker is thinking to himself somewhere that it would have been a lot cheaper to use a call girl service instead of making moves on the sexual harassment trainer.
