Is he a statue, or does he have at least some mobility?
I'm sure he can move. I don't think our coaches want our QBs running too much taking unnecessary hits and fumbling. They want a smart game manager and gunslinger who can distribute the ball, move the chains and score TDs.

What? Come on, you know it’s exciting to have QBs who just drop the ball for no reason…
I will never forget that. Was watching the game with my old man, who has been cheering for the Huskers since the days of Bill Jennings.

We both just looked at each other after Purdy just legit dropped the ball. He said he never saw anything like that.

Yes it is, only because I watch other teams play that I know this. And when you do they let you play in these games called Bowl games

I think it's always been pretty obvious that a QB that can accurately throw coupled with WR's that can break free and catch will take a tremendous amount of pressure away from stacking the box to open up the run game.
And a successful run game frees up the receivers.

2 way street. Bottom line is we haven't done either well for years

Someone from a top of the food chain winning program who can help implement that mentality and mentor DK as he comes in while also training/helping the OC overcome one of his weaknesses… I’m N

If NU signs a quality QB and WR out of the portal I have to believe it will enhance HS recruiting as well. If I'm in HS and I see NU actually teeing off on teams with a dangerous offense to go along with a proven defense I'm giving NU a solid look.

Someone worse than Adrian Martinez I bet.
Likely. No matter. Burrow was never here so has had no more effect on the last seven years than Danny Woodhead or Gayle Sayers. Maybe you guys should go back to beating on Donny Riola before that goes out of style. The Burrow dead horse beating ran out of shelf life years ago.

He has -77 rushing yards in his career, so if that is any indication, it doesn't appear he is very mobile
Hopefully we land a QB that can execute a forward pass, and limit the amount of punishment he takes over the course of a season by having him take on the role of RB.

My hope is he is able to see when a receiver is open and get the ball out quickly, or that he is able to throw it to a spot where the receiver will be.

Too many sacks this year for the huskers were because our QB didn’t want to throw an interception and held onto the ball too long. If McCord gets the ball out quickly, I’m not too worried about the negative yardage.

According to one report QB Cam Ward is the biggest name in the portal and he's expected to command around $2 million in NIL pay. Six schools reportedly are in play including Miami, Ohio State, Washington, USC, Florida State AND NEBRASKA. So that's 4 of the 6 schools being B1G schools. (He was being visited by Nebraska today.)
