And there's a reason OSU wanted to get rid of him. If we're not an attractive enough program to even get interest from Ohio State's leftovers, then we've already become a Northwestern type program.
The reason OSU is dumping him is because the fans are looking to blame someone for losing to Michigan and the starting QB who threw two interceptions in the game is their scapegoat. They ignore his overall season stats or the fact that he also won all the other games. That happens when the fanbase has been spoiled.

I don't what you mean. Satterfield supposedly visited McCord so he must have been somewhat interested in us. And lots of teams will be after OSU and other program's "leftovers".

I agree. There's a huge difference between getting a starter from Ohio State and a five star bust DB who wasn't in their three deep.

We did get interest, there goes that complaint.

When I watched NU’s offense this year, I was not reminded of NFL Sunday.

Rhule has to convince people that the offense he wants to run is not the offense that is actually on tape.
When the QBs keep fumbling or throwing to the wrong team its hard to show any offensive system on tape

McCord had NFL caliber WRs and Offensive Linemen at Ohio State. He won't have that here. His lack of mobility would be a concern.

Sometimes I wonder if we had a qb who could consistently hit passes if teams wouldn't let up on the pressure some. Lloyd and Coleman with an accurate passer could be scary. I think that Barney kid from Miami is a burner too.

I think it's always been pretty obvious that a QB that can accurately throw coupled with WR's that can break free and catch will take a tremendous amount of pressure away from stacking the box to open up the run game.

I'm anxiously waiting to see if any of these QB's that Satt has visited (or will visit) actually will themselves make a trip to Lincoln which of course is when we'll know if they have any real serious interest.

Might be a long shot but at least we’re trying (allegedly)

Real long shot for sure but I'm glad the staff is aiming for the moon. He must have at least expressed a willingness to listen to Nebraska's pitch for them to be traveling to see him. Wonder how much NIL Nebraska is willing to offer. Now wouldn't it be hilarious if he choose Nebraska over Ohio State?

I was replying to another poster who made it sound like we couldn't get interest from Ohio State's "leftovers". It was a hypothetical response, not an accusation. I wasn't making a direct complaint about the staff. It sounds like the staff is getting some interest, now they just need to finish.

Leavitt as THE guy we throw all our eggs into, yes. To have him to compete and develop, I think would be a good pick-up.
All of our eggs for Purdy 2.0? Doesn't mean he wouldn't work out but at this point quit hoping and get someone proven.
