It will be what it is. The layoff didn't hurt Travis. May have helped him.
Retrospectively, I like how this opportunity gave Travis and the other bigs a chance to get in rhythm a bit.
PJ will likely play this weekend at some point and when he does, he'll find more confident and dependent teammates on the court with him as a result of his absence.

I’m not talking from sitting. Lots of people are assuming pj playing equals a healthy pj. I’m saying that may not be the case. On the flip side some guys come back from injury and play at another level. The entire situation is unpredictable and those pinning it all on whether pj plays or not may be disappointed
He’s just salty and embarrassed for acting ridiculous and vilifying PJ and his father only to be proven 100% wrong.

Every player in every game is unpredictable. All that depends on several factors including defense, matchups and many other factors.
And if PJ plays and plays well Friday, here's the new narrative:
"Well, we don't know if PJ will be able to replicate that performance Sunday after playing so hard Friday night. We shouldn't expect another effort like that coming from a guy fresh off of injury."

We have no idea how the conversation with Pratt came up when first talking about 'turf toe'. We have so many experts, fans, people that have weighed in on what happened and what the actual diagnosis was with PJ's foot. We do know one thing that UK and Coach Cal sent PJ to a couple of the best foot specialist around and both came back after reviewing the X-rays, MRI, and testing that all were negative and it was a sprain and just a Pain issue. I know Cal has probably heard so many things on this over the last 2 weeks and that is why he has came out 3 or 4 times with a Statement saying that it is clearly a sprain and it was a Pain Issue. I believe after cast came off as what we saw today PJ's foot it looked great inside shoe and didn't look like any swelling at all. They also said after cast came off he was doing PT and doing the Water-bike and other activities. I am sure that is why is PJ's Dad said to 'JUST RELAX' Tuesday night after cast came off and I am sure PJ gave him an update. That along with a number of pictures and quotes from Cal seemed like PJ was really feeling good today about his foot to put all of that together today and to send it out. We have known Coach Cal now for 10 years and I have never seen him get involve with pictures and make quotes on a Person injury. Cal is usually tight lipped and doesn't say a word until he has to and with PJ he has been thorough with his statements. Maybe PJ only plays 15 minutes or so but that is how Travis came back and he didn't even start either and played 20 minutes and that was all that was needed in that game. We all know that PJ is probably feeling I came back for year two to get here and it is getting close for his end at Kentucky and I am sure he wants to go out strong and finish at the top.
I have never heard of a plaster leg cast being used for turf toe.On ESPN 680 in Louisville that he has heard it was similar to Turf Toe and that when it happens to football players it takes 4 weeks to get better. He doesn’t know for sure but he hopes Cal isn’t getting our hopes up

This is what I've been saying all along.
It's surprising that our fans will believe anything they are hearing from anyone at this point. It's obvious that the truth isn't being told by anyone.
Well, see that’s paranoid BS. We’re hearing what they think they know. Injuries on the cusp of recovery are day to day. No assurances. People have been squealing, screaming, kicking the floor, beating their chests demanding to know more. There is no more to tell. If he plays, he plays. How well he plays, all up in the air.
Then to think someone is lying is just as stupid. Why is Sam hell would anyone lie about his recovery.
We are getting best guesses because that is all that is available is best guess. Welcome to athletics and injuries.
If PJ has a stat line after the game, he played. If not, he didn’t. There is your truth.
Yeah there is a lot of truth in this post. I didn't play college ball but even in high school, I sprained my ankle two different times and sometimes it is just a matter of how it feels when you wake up that day. Every time I wanted to play. Almost anyone that competes at any level wants to play but there is also diminishing returns on how well you move. Is a 50 or 60% PJ as good as EJ or NR. What if it is affecting his ability to jump and be aggressive on rebounds. Could it cost us a critical rebound or loose ball because he is hurting too bad to get to the ball. I want PJ to play as much as anyone on this board. But nobody wants to play more than he does. He will be out there if his body will let him.
Mike Pratt is entitled to his opinion. He is just guessing like the rest of us though in this case. I don't see PJ and Calipari doing what they did yesterday if the plan was for him not to play.

I don’t personally comment or tweet at any of the players/coaches but they will catch hell from a large majority of BBN if he doesn’t play.
It’s the main reason I’m confident he’s fairly healthy and playing Friday. It just isn’t like Cal to follow up with the “Uh-Oh” message after PJs video, unless he’s confident he’s playing also.
