On ESPN 680 in Louisville that he has heard it was similar to Turf Toe and that when it happens to football players it takes 4 weeks to get better. He doesn’t know for sure but he hopes Cal isn’t getting our hopes up

COME ON MIKE!!:weary::mad:

COME ON MIKE!!

That’s like the 15th different injury we’ve heard it might be. PJ wouldn’t post a video of himself walking if he wasn’t going to play. That would be so dumb and attention seeking.

Agree. Cal and PJ wouldn't just troll millions of UK fans like that. Nothing in the past has led me to believe that they would do such a thing.

That’s why I am so upset that Mike Pratt would say this since he is inside the program and should know what is going on.

Why would he piss on our parade?

I'm taking Cal's comments about "day to day" as more indicative of reality than a loosely-connected old man's take on the turf toe narrative.

Turf toe makes sense if he kicked something out of frustration also would explain why it got worse over a couple days. Give him some lidocaine injected at the joint tendon area and he ll be good

Mike is great. But go with Cal and PJ on this one.

There are parts of our fan base that won't let up until everything is perfect. Even then, we dissect the smallest things and look for potential gaps that would exploit any positive occurrence.

Worrying is a main theme in BBN. I remember when members of the Kentucky media said that "worrying" was the main fan outlook in 2015 when UK was still undefeated. Pitino used to mock our fans for over-analyzing everything. Hall's title team never was able to experience any fun due to the mammoth sized fan expectations.

It gets old sometimes.

I think it’s sfe to say PJ is playing. Cal and PJ would not troll with the video and the uh oh if he wasn’t playing. If he wasn’t playing they wouldn’t say anything or say maybe or he’s not playing. Cal knows how crazy a lot of the UK fan base is so commenting on the video would only be letting UK fans know that PJ is playing without coming out and saying it. Trolling UK in a good way

Or maybe it actually was just a sprained foot all along..

Can't be true. Mike Pratt is the omnipotent being of all things UK-related. If he says "turf toe" with the implication that PJ's out for a month and that Cal/PJ/PJ's dad are wrong about this, then it must be true.

All hail Lord Pratt!

Some of our fanbase could see this happen and say, that horse is short.

Recovery time for turf toe depends on how severe the injury is. Like other sprains, a big toe sprain can be grade 1, 2 or 3, and each has different requirements for healing time:

Grade 1 – soft tissues a bit stretched out, no swelling or bruising. These rebound rather quickly if you stay off the foot and use strapping to limit toe movement—usually in just a few days.

Grade 2 – slight ligament tear(s), pain, swelling, some black and blue areas. They are treated with RICE – rest, icing, compression with taping or strapping, and equipment modifications, like stiffer shoes or orthotics to support the toe. You will likely miss 1 to 2 weeks of activity before it is healed well enough to play again.

Grade 3 - severe, with ligament tears, swelling, stiff joint, inability to bear weight, possible cartilage damage. These require more stringent treatment and possibly surgery to reconstruct the ligament capsule. Plan on 4 to 6 weeks before resuming any activities—maybe longer.

Trust your sports injuries to Houston’s expert podiatrist, Dr. Robert Parker, for effective treatment and considerate care. Call Parker Foot & Ankle at (281) 497-2850 and start your road to healing today.
