What you saw is what you got. He hit ceiling. With all this losing we lost perspective of what good really is. Pelini was NOT a good coach. Just because his successors have sucked doesn't mean that he shouldn't have been fired. SUCKED HE DID.

There are but a few elite coaches that can get it done. Saban, Meyer, Aranda, Ruhle are those types when they get their system in place it takes a great team to beat them.

I'm old enough to have seen Bear Bryant, Paterno, Bowden, Devaney, Osborne, Switzer, Saban, Meyer. Who the **** wants to play them when the money's on the line?

Some of the greatest games I've ever seen were Paterno v. Osborne, Osborne v. Bowden, Saban v. Meyer, Devaney v. Bryant.

No matter how great the NU '95 team was, a matchup with those elite coaches (with exceptions, of course) was going to be a tremendous battle. Giants as head coaches.

The nowaday coaches, overall, pale in comparison.

Most of the great black players are in the deep south, SEC area, and is precisely why recruiting that area is important.

Part of the reason I was stumping for Mickey Joseph as at least an interim head coach.. is he shows the ability to recruit and relate to players in that footprint.

You know how Clemson hired Dabo as the head coach right?

The AD picked the guy on the current staff who he thought was the best recruiter.

It really comes down to the Jimmies and the Joes. If our NIL is really cranking, we can get the players.

You have to have a head coach who doesn't have his head up his anus or living at the bottom of a 12 pack.

Sit the fk down. How may black kids are you around on day to day basis.

I'm around them every day and listen to how they think.

Even Pete Carroll, when USC was having their run, said he wouldn't even leave CA to recruit anything other than a legit 5* guy who could come in and start as a freshman.

Now its, TX, LA, GA, FLA and those 3 SEC states have plenty of talent to put a national contender together IF, as Nikki says, the head coach is the real deal.

I played D1 basketball at TCU.

So I reached my potential clowm

My kid is 15 and what his height will be will determine that.

According to 3 D1 schools already.

Go to bed.

My son got his first D-1 scholarship offer as a 7th grader, played D-1 and started for 4 years.

Name the black athlete that's come here that's been on the level as Frazier, Suh, Phillips, Ahman Green, Lavonte David, etc in the last 8 years?
