Nova has really been slowing games down this weekend.

everybody knows Jay Wright's 5-Out offense, and he's challenging teams to stop it.

the value of experienced ball handlers in the tourney cannot be overstated.
Absolutely, guard play in the tourney is everything and Nova has them. So does Houston actually, I just don’t like this brand of basketball, an elite 8 game in the 40’s

page after page after page of how terrible the big ten is both in basketball and in football and you guys are bringing back coaches in both sports that haven't even come close to competing

and the constant whining by your fan base and admin about the conference making your schedule too difficult just emphasizes what huge national embarrassments you have become

if we are being generous you are a middle of the pack mountain west athletic program
Yes. It's been suggested that Nebraska's plan is to drag the conference down. And I'm beginning to think it's true. Their football and basketball is so bad that they know they can't come up to respectable levels....so their plan is to try to drag everyone else in the conference down. By being a total embarrassment and trying to make the conference look as bad as possible in every way. Fighting behind the scenes to suck as bad as possible.

Yet, here you are.

Houston was a tough out, and really thought they'd beat 'Nova.

Jay Wright is maybe the best coach in the country these days. His teams really know how to play. Nothing strikes you as excellent about them, but they are a really tough team to beat. I think it simply comes down to them not having any weaknesses.

Kansas isn’t looking like the same team that played Creighton last Sunday..
They didn’t look great in the first half today either, but dropped the hammer in the second half.

Duke looked really good last night too. Pretty much had their way with Arkansas.

I was hoping Arkansas would ruin Coach K’s final 4 appearance..

As of now I would have to pick Duke and KU in the national title game ..

You would think ThewayITellThem would get tired having the same blue bloods in the final 4 every year and wanting more teams in the tournament for a better chance knocking them off..

Carolina caught a huge break when Purdue’s administration decided to sabotage their basketball team!

LOL - more complaining about the big ten from one of it's bottom feeders
one would think you would want the conf to be more successful so the conf welfare checks you guys squander are larger

here's a little secret well known amongst the conf founders.... Jim Delany was forced to step down due to his decision to let you guys in

the big 12 is thanking their lucky stars you left and the big ten is actively trying to get you to leave
Nice try ********

Nebraska has won 2 more national titles in the modern era of football than the entire B1G has won in its history

guessing your team didn't contribute to that count since we don't get many ohiost fans here (wonder why)

facts like this contribute to the overall thorough cucking of the lightweights (iowa, minn, etc.) and their fans, which leads to weirdos like you coming here to see what it's like on the happy side of the ledger

we have our way with your beloved conference even when we win 3 games a year, and you can't help but sheepishly ask to watch

hey- there's always your participation trophy games next year to look forward to! Big Ten Football! wooden buckets & little statues of wooden men!

You and schuele and others on here seem to have the attitude that if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Adopt the blue-bloods as your favorite teams. Forget about even trying to challenge them....since your actual true favorite teams aren't even competitive enough to get out of the Big Ten cellar.

Me....yes, I still want an expanded football playoff.

I'm not a fan of any of the teams that made the Final Four. But rather than be a sniveling, babbling, embarrassingly whiny dimwit who dreams up excuses and conspiracy theories about why those teams are still standing, I just admit that they played the best basketball.

How did the Final Four teams do in their respective conference tournaments?
Every national champ in the 64-68 team era has at least competed in its conf tourney semifinals

this year will be no different (UNC lost in ACC semi, Duke was runner-up, nova/KU won theirs)

What fan roots for his team to lose in the conference tourney thinking there better off being successful in the dance..🙄

It’s classic that he blames the Big 10 being not successful by blaming Nebraska for being at the bottom of the conference when his own team was the last place basketball team…RollingLaugh

It's different if you're going for a 1 or 2 seed. Then of course it's worth it to get an easy ride to the Sweet-16. Or if you're on the bubble. But there's no benefit whatsoever for a team like Iowa to invest so heavily in the conference tournament.

Are you that dense, Ioway would have never been given a 5 seed and (they should have been a 4 for winning it) if it wasn’t for winning the conference tournament…

history says if you want to win in the meaningful (aka non-B1G) rounds, you must make at least the semis of your conference tournament.

so, once again, you couldn't be more wrong.

perhaps you'd be better served making some friends in real life with the time you spend getting dunked on here? maybe some fellow rodents want to talk about how you finished dead last in the league this year?

Well you should tell your AD to request that Nebraska's games be bunched in groups of 5 games per week then.

This shouldn't be a divisive issue. Several on here are even hurling insults about this. Can't we just look at it logically...and without just accepting what we're spoon-fed by the media and by the conferences?

Does anyone actually care about how far a team gets in their conference tournament? No. The NCAA Tournament is the only thing that matters, correct? Obviously. Logic says it's not good to invest a lot of time, physical effort, and emotion into a bunch of meaningless games in the same week that the real games start. This should be common sense.

Your conference tournament has a lot to do with how high or low your NCAA seeding will be, or whether or not you make it at all. To say you should piss it away is ridiculous. And they say Nebraska is the academic inferior ones.🙄🙄

A 1 or 2 seed is great to go for.

Some might knee-jerk say this is a loser's mentality, but I wouldn't fight hard to move up from an 11-12 seed to an 8-9 seed.

If I was solidly in, like Iowa for instance....yes, I'd want to lose early. Winning doesn't help your seeding or draw much. And several teams, including the Gophers, have suffered key injuries by advancing in the conference tournament.
