now that we have left the participation trophy portion of the tournament, nobody should be surprised to see the SEC team win and the B1G team lose

congrats to my fellow hogs/nova bettors!

at the 1:23 mark of the video you posted you can freeze the video when the dribbled ball hits the ground. At that exact moment, you cannot see the mid court line. That means the ball is covering the line. Again, that makes it a backcourt violation. If he was pushed, over the line, then it was a foul. But under no circumstances should that play have been a play on.
There should have been something called, but the refs were all out of position and had no good angle to make either call. Since they couldn’t see either, that is what likely led to the “play on” situation.

Between Jim Jackson's babbling and the Fab Five glam shots, I forgot who Michigan was playing.

It's not a backcourt violation if you lose control of the ball. And it was a good trap. TCU had zero chance to score.

The game was decided fairly in overtime, as it should have been. I don't understand the mentality of some of you screaming for the refs to give a team an undeserved win instead of the players deciding it fairly.

How do you feel about St Peters - Purdue tomorrow?
I expect Purdue to advance and cannot wait to be getting points with either UCLA or UNC in the Elite Eight

I'm going to stay away from the spread (Purdue -12.5), maybe take the Peacocks live if the boilers jump out to a monster lead

Some talking heads thought they were one of the more favorite able teams with the odds getting to the final4 at the start of the tourney..
back to back elite 8s for them

not sure what their recruiting/returning looks like, but they'll be a top-4 favorite to win the SEC again next year for sure

I sadly expect them to be eliminated on saturday by duke and the illuminati conspiracy to guarantee Coach K a Final Four in his last season

LOL the SEC did very poorly.

LOL at you announcing your winning bets AFTER the fact. As if you always win and would announce losses.

SEC and B1G have the same amount of teams remaining, despite B1G having 50% more bids, and I agree they underperformed. what's that say about your beloved Participation Trophy Boys??

Arkansas 3 ways - +10, +11.5 (live) and +400 moneyline!!

also, and not for nothing, but I posted that prior to the nova game ending and michigan having a real chance to cover (of course, they didn't bc B1G)

I have duke and arizona moneylines tonight FYI. I also have a Villanova wins the title future (+1450) that's been pending since October 15th!

I know you are clueless as to what those terms mean, but you asked so there you go

Proposed basketball rule change: If you brick a free throw so badly that it ends up a wedgie, it should be loss of possession.

Houston has committed some stupid fouls, but they're also getting hit with some ticky tacks. It's almost like Bear Down Vern Harris is officiating.

Sampson alluded to it, but I do wonder if today's the day their injuries/depth catch up to them.

he's got a great program going down there. a perfect fit for the Big 12.

just imagine what a circus the Final Four would be if coach Krzxytsvejndnsbdbxj made it on his last attempt. Ticket prices would be insane and every celebrity and big money VIP imaginable would try to be there

I picked Arizona to win it all, but they got punched in the face tonight and I enjoyed every minute of it. Wildcats are not quite as whiny and insufferable as they were under Screamin' Sean Miller, but pretty close.

The SEC did terrible in the first round. Terrible overall record, top to bottom. Just like in the football Bowls. At least the Big Ten won most of their early games. 6-game winning streak at one point.

Don’t compare the bowl games with the NCAA tournament….

The Big Ten should adopt this image as its official basketball logo. Tyler Wahl flexing in triumph at the Colgate pep band:

I actually think it’s a good comparison

round of 64/32 = pre-NY day bowls, aka B1G time

rounds of 16 and on = NY day bowls and playoffs, aka winning or championship time (B1G either watches this from home or gets blown out on off chance it participates)

😂 technically the NCAA tournament has 68 teams playing for the national title.. It’s a brand new season.
College football has only 4 and every weekend they are playing to get into the 4 team playoff..

🍎 to 🍊..

Edey is grotesque.

this purdue team is the definition of pretender. if they survive the mighty Peacocks, they have no chance against either blue blood on Sunday.

Just get Trayveon Williams a shopping bag and let him carry the ball wherever he wants. My God, even the Badgers aren't allowed to change their pivot foot that many times.

Purdue’s guards have been terrible. In fact BIG guard play has been mostly awful all tourney.
