National Duals, '25, thread

So, this looks like a fun event. I don't think it should ever replace the tournament as nothing compares to the tournament, but I think this could be a fun early season competition.
How many new fans has it grown so far?
I’m waiting to see what teams do once a dual is clinched
Not what I was saying. As an established fan, this is fun to watch.
Joy beats Swiderski on last second takedown. Loving the Flozone with Shane Sparka
Bailey's MO is try to win a low-scoring bout by a single TD. He's tough to score on, but never been very offensive-minded.
You'll never hear the following from another human.
I used to never watch wrestling then the National Duals happened and it all changed for me.

Calling it now. All freshman finals at 157. Duke/robedeau
You don’t think folks that haven’t before watched wrestling subscribed to Flo just to check out what all the hype is about on a football weekend?
If that was the lone criterion for holding a college wrestling event (dual meet or tournament(), there would be maybe five (or fewer) wrestling events per season.
Early, but has the makings of an all-time rivalry. Think he follows Duke to 165, eventually.
Certain coaches accused Cael of not helping grow the sport.
Facundo got rode out in the second by #3 Simon Ruiz, who wins 2-0. No takedowns but not close takedowns either.
Facundo loses to Ruiz 2-0. Looks like same Alex. No top or bottom game. No go to shot. Solid D
Facundo with the same issues as before. Couldn’t get off bottom and not a ton of offense. Had trouble getting in on Ruiz. Ruiz is a stud though. I think he’s 2nd behind Levi
America needs more people like Shane Sparks. Relentlessly positive, full of information. The consummate pro.
He’s awesome. I tweeted at him. Hope he reads it. My only suggestion is that he gives team scores between matches
Scintillating commentary in the Kennedy Steed match. "And we can confirm that was a real throw-up." "Oh, I didn't see? He got that out?"
The uber athletic and aggressive Ryder tied 0-0 with :30 left in the first
Ryder losing 3-1 after 2
Ryder losing 3-1 after 2

For all the hype around the young 184s, Angelo is gonna make this weight a tough watch each time he hits another top guy. Really brings it down for me.
Agreed. He is no doubt an elite wrestler but I hate his style. Not fun to watch
That was an incredible scramble though. Sinclair looked dead to rights and then I thought Sinclair was absolutely going to get the td. Great defense by both guys
Because it's on Flo, and Flo is never going to grow Wrestling. Sunday on ESPN2 could possibly grow the sport, but non wrestling fans are not buying Flo to watch wrestling.
What will be more fun is to compare the winner of this event to their relative standing, point wise, at the close of the NCAA Championship.
WOW what a sequence
Ferrari and Sinclair. Both had the other dead to rights and they fight out. Going to rideouts
