Come to think of it, I'd doubt they'd want to hire Mullen considering recent history with that sort of thing. That video is rough.
It could be argued that one was self defense.
What happened was inexcusable, but if a woman hits a man, why is that not assault? There should be two arrests there.
I don't consider a push a hit. She shoved him but dude barely moved. Maybe if a woman actually punches a dude in the face then all bets are off. What happened was inexcusable, but if a woman hits a man, why is that not assault? There should be two arrests there.
But what else should the school have done? The suspended him for a year. They were much harsher on him than the law was.
Well, they basically just redshirted him. I'm pretty sure he didn't use a year of eligibility.
When Stoops saw the tape, his only play is to make Mixon someone else's problem. Cut him lose, wish him luck, but OU football is better than that.

Especially if it's one of them big ol' manly broads.

There is no justification for the amount of force he used. There is also no justification for her shoving and slapping him. Both should've been charged.
No one said there is justification.
Should he not be allowed to play college football?
Is throwing him out in the street better?
Why not throw him out? Is he not old enough to learn there's serious consequences for egregious actions such as this?
Define no threat. If a woman swings at me, I would see that as a threat, as should the law. Her intent was to harm, as was his. People just can't go around swinging at other people and dismiss their actions because of their gender.
What is all this "young man" and "young lady" talk? Do you really think these thugs see life the way you do? All they know is to take by force. You are giving them way too much credit. The only way you get through to them is blunt force (define it however you like).
You don't think there shouldn't be some level of common sense? As in he knows she has no chance of harming him with her bare hands. Not this woman to that man.
If she scratches his eye, it could cause serious damage. Not much force needed, just well aimed fingernails.
