This dude needs to learn when not to speak. His mouth writes a lot of checks that he doesn't have to cash.
Can’t figure out why he has to comment on how many wins Nebraska possibly could obtain..

Imagine what you all would say if he was quoted "Well I figure we have three or four wins in us this year. Five would be great. Six would be amazing."
8-9 wins “would be great” ... my god, even Iowa doesn’t consider an 8 win season great ... what an ignominious statement from an AD at an alleged blue blood program
I would rather have him made a comment on where he is at moving the Southeastern La game from November to September 4th..
He's correct, we should expect no less than 8 wins. That's not great, but anything less is a failure. Good coaching would get us to double digits.
He said the floor was 6-6, and talked about bowl practices and how important they were to a young staff and new players. And I believe he was also higher expectations for year one
Moos hasn't exactly been pumping the sunshine when it comes to number of wins since he's been here. Didn't he say that he was expecting 6 or less the first year and maybe a similar result the next year?

We're setting our sites lower than we used to. Bo needed to average 10 in this day and age. He pretty much hit ceiling.
Now, I'm not sure what to expect from Scott Frost. He's got to find a way to win football games. Adjust to the talent you have. If you can't win with AM then move on.
We'll be lucky to win 6. But if we can get by Illinois and Buffalo the first 2 weeks, then I can see us winning 8. If we lose either of those first 2, before a likely blowout loss to OU, then the season could spiral downhill in a hurry.
Depends if Moos is gone. My bet is unless we get blown out by Buffalo or Southeastern LA Moos stays. Which means Frost stays.
The 2 most important roles are Head coach and QB. We are sub par in both roles. I see 3 to 4 wins with the "hardest schedule in the country"
I don't get where he is coming from saying we have the hardest schedule. We play 3 of the 4 worst teams in the Big 10 (the fourth being Rutgers, of course, not Nebraska), plus Buffalo and SE LA. Plus, the three toughest games in our division are all at home and,sad to say, it is not like we are facing a strong conference.
I like the optimism. If it happens it would truly be an accomplishment and a much needed turning point for the program!
I am cautiously optimistic however.
He was asked a direct question as to how many wins by a caller. He answered what he thought Scott should do in year four. I like he put the pressure on Scott.
And he didn’t have to answer the question with a number..
Even Devaney would have not answered that question in that manner..
Pressure is already on SF for 3 losing seasons..
Season wont spiral, because our defense wont mail it in, even if the O is subpar.

I wouldn't read much into it, because an administrator like him is also part politician, meaning he can change the narrative anytime he wants to.
So is he setting up an expectation for Frost, the fans, or both?

I'm going to lean more toward the latter.. based on the short history he has been here.
