Maybe Diabate was mad he missed that dunk or maybe the whole team was mad no one “said their name”. I saw that on the back of the warmups so I guess it’s a thing they want the other team to do?

Between the Michigan and Purdue players chirping, it’s a sure sign were gaining respect in the B1G. They used to think they could stomp on us and now that they get beat, they get butthurt. Nobody gets pissed off at the players and fans of doormats. Next will come favorable calls from refs.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say Michigan wouldn’t shake hands. All eyes were on the Michigan jackass who erupted and I think the adults in the room on both sides intended to keep the teams separated.

Plenty of immature Rutgers fans were as irate as the Michigan kid. Fans cursing players is weak. Not a good look for either side.

As for Dickinson showboating after made baskets, our guys do too. Is part of the game these days.

I hope this is not true, but if so and there is any video of the play, a serious suspension may be warranted.
Harper and Diabate were chirping for a while during the game and when Diabate fouled out. Right before the last FT, Caleb and Dickinson were on the blocks next to each other and having words. The ref came over to talk to them to break it up. After the FT that's when Dickinson set the screen and Caleb and Harper was pissed. Harper needed to be held back as well. No one shook hands, and the team was fired up. I hope they keep this fire going.

I was there and disagree. Not a good look for Michigan. Don't see an issue with Rutgers.

Yeah!! It was our fault that their coach cannot control his players. You do not call timeout and foul at the end of this game.

Michigan acted like a bunch of punk clowns after the game and the fans rightfully called them on it.

That screen was a cheap shot with so little time left in a game that was effectively over. I hope they lose their next three to fall to 1-5.

Knight and one of their assistants got into it after that. Seems like a trend with them, happened against Maryland last year too.
Think it was Martelli. Cliff got mauled by Dickinson with a minute or so to go in the game on the opposite end from where MI was pressing our guards. Mag got his teeth knocked out again and only played 2 minutes.

I was there too. Rutgers players and all but 1 Michigan guy were fine. Some meathead RU fans, not so much.

Pathetic to lose your cool no matter which team you play or root for.

For a team that hasnt proven anything yet (RU) there is definitely too much showboating after made baskets. The reason Geo and Ron have their full scholarship are to make those baskets. Humble success is the best success.

thats what it looked like in the youtube video - looked like 1/2 of the Michigan team was lined up to shake hands while the other 1/2 of their team had to control the child having a temper tantrum 30+ feet away. and as you say, looked like the coaches decided to forego the handshake to keep things calm.

Just root for the other team, like you always do.

I don’t agree because I think we’ve proven more this year that we were the better team to win. Michigan probably feels great frustration with how their year is turning out right now.

Wait, Phil Martelli is still coaching?

I remember his temper tantrum when the TV crews labeled his team as "St. Joe's (PA)" as if St. Joe's was some sort of blueblood.

Is it just me or does Dickinson, regardless of it was a real foul or not, turn around and looked were the scores table and “show” exactly what he felt the foul was to whomever? I think I saw him do this 4 or 5 times on TV tonight.
