I've always thought Poythress was a pretty good defender. It's obvious the kid aint at 100% yet and he may not be at any point this year, but if he does, he will do a decent job on Simmons. No one guy is going to stop this kid. Simmons has talent and is for real, but basketball is a team game and one guy won't beat you. He will get his, but Poythress at 100% would do the best job of any forward in the country guarding this kid imo.

Simmons is a special player, for sure. LSU got a great one. He will go #1 in the draft and be a star in the NBA. He is ready to play there now.

I think LSU has a good swim team....no basketball titles...1-2 in football but now are chasing Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and Arkansas in the West. They won't be relavant for a while. Simmons is a great player but as Bobby Knight said many years ago when playing LSU he felt much better when he looked down the bench and saw Dale Brown....while LSU will be tough at home they will be no factor on the road or in the tourney because Jones is on the bench.
