Thanks for reminding me that UK basketball strives for perfection. As you saw last year, we nearly did it.

Sorry, you're not clever at all. Actually quite the opposite.

LSU. Nothing but a bunch of drunk idiots who want to be great but can't get past the big boys in the conference. Wouldn't you like to actually see a sport where LSU dominates? Would be fun wouldn't it?

Louisiana Hicks.

As long as Jones is their coach, they'll do nothing. He's really one of the worst coaches in Div 1. Just horrible. LSU is used to bonehead coaches though. Dale Brown? That guy was a joke.

The only thing I saw last year was coach Cal doing nothing with the best roster in the nation. Typical Coach Cal. The dream team would have place 3rd in Barcelona if Cal was the head coach [roll]

LSU as a program is nothing and your coach is nothing. Cal has accomplished more at Kentucky in 6 years than your program has in 100 years.

Go watch your football team practice, you don't have any ground to stand on here.

4 Final Fours and a national title in 6 years. Awful. Should probably be fired.

Should have been fired after the 2012-2013 when a team full of 5 stars didn't even make the tourney and got bounced out of the NIT

Good ol coach Cal couldn't even make the tourney with this roster

Darius Miller 1 G 6'8" 235 Senior Maysville, Kentucky Graduated/Entered 2012 NBA Draft
Terrence Jones 3 F 6'9" 252 Sophomore Portland, Oregon Entered 2012 NBA Draft
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist 14 F 6'7" 232 Freshman Somerdale, New Jersey Entered 2012 NBA Draft
Doron Lamb 20 G 6'4" 210 Sophomore Queens, New York Entered 2012 NBA Draft
Anthony Davis 23 C 6'10" 220 Freshman Chicago, Illinois Entered 2012 NBA Draft
Marquis Teague 25 G 6'2" 189 Freshman Indianapolis, Indiana Entered 2012 NBA Draft

I've seen it all now. An idiot LSU fan talking trash about our hall of fame coach who has been to 4 of the last 5 final fours, has won a National Title...when he roots for a team with the worst coach in Division 1. This is good. Do you realize how dumb you are? or do you just not care? I bet you know you're dumb, but what the hell, right? Just say some idiotic stuff for fun.

You're an idiot. A GD idiot.

But this is LSU Louisiana hicks we're talking about. Lowest IQ's in the country.

Cal has 4 final fours 2 title games and a NC in only 6 years.

Like I said, you're a GD idiot.

Nerleans Noel, Willie Cauley-Stein, Alex Poythreess, Kyle Wiljier, Archie Goodwin. 3 5 stars and a 4 star and he couldn't even get a tourney bid

If Johnny was coaching they would have made the sweet 16. Coach Cal l is a joke.

Good for Anthony... sucks for the other 50 5 stars that came through and have nothing to show for it. Those odds suck if you ask me. A decent coach would have atleast 4 titles by now with the talent walking through that door. The only thing they have to show for is 40-0 clearance Tees lol

All this post proves is LSU fans have no clue about basketball and how hard titles are to come by (which is odd considering their lack of success). Keep watching your football team they are surely in the hunt for the playoff with all that talent and the best back in the country... oh wait they lost two in a row FIRE LES MILES!

Simmons is awesome. A healthy Poythess will be the perfect antidote.
Poythress is a great rebounder, but has never been the kind of defender that can check an athlete like Simmons. But LSU won't be able to check Labissiere and Murray either. Simmons might score 40, but I think we win.

I don't think anyone is going to shut down Simmons, but I think Poythress can slow him down...if Poy's lateral quickness returns.

A healthy poythress looked like he could guard anyone before the injury. I was wowed by the Kansas game.

Simmons has not scored close to 40 on either of the cupcakes he has went against. This clown is getting a lot more hype than he deserves. Great player, but give me a break.

You're using the Cal can't coach argument.

No .... I'm just using the LSU fan's argument against him to make him look silly. Of course Miles can coach and him winning 1 title since he's been there is impressive enough.

I still stick with TAMU being the team behind UK, but LSU and Vandy are both legit. Especially LSU if Johnny Jones mainly just sits there and let them play. Antonio Blakeney is also legit. Seems he may have been ranked a little lower than he could have been. He looks like a top 10 freshmen right now.

You can scratch off Noel off that list as well since he tore his acl. When he went down the whole team did.

That class was a very weak class one of the weakest in years.

But one thing is for certain we have had tons more success than LSU. You guys had chris Jackson, Shaq and Stanley Robertson on ur team and did nothing with that. And Brown is a heck of a lot better coach than Jones is.

Nope. Simmons has elite ball skills. Poythress has never been a very solid man defender. Poythress is an elite rebounder though. But so far, Poythress isn't even starting. It generally takes more than a year to get back to 100% after an ACL.

Its funny hearing KY fans take a dump on Johnny Jones, when Cal has done less with talent as any coach in the country
My you are a bright one ain't ya.

How is 1 national title and 4 final fours in 6 years doing less? List for me the teams that have done that over the past 6 years. I promise you they don't have less talent than UK.

Get back over to the football board where you can still pretend you matter.

I agree. That was a stupid retort to mock a school that just missed out on being the first unbeaten team in 40 years. Plus I think those shirts were on the clearance rack right next to LSU's "Strive for the NCAA tournament".

I started this post to praise your team.. I know some are bashing your coach but he'll have his chance prove what he can do with this roster. As far as bashing a coach that has already proven he can win at the highest level at 3 different schools? It doesn't make you look very smart. I'm really happy for LSU and the SEC, we really should be civil and wish the best for each other. The season is so much more fun when the SEC is strong. I've got high hopes for the future of our conference.
