I understand defending your coach, but that is just delusional. Come back after Jones makes the Final Four at least once and we will talk.

And don't talk about the difference in talent. Jones has already gotten more talent at LSU than Cal ever did at UMass, yet Cal had UMass at number one and in the Final Four early in his career.

Okay. How about the Ole Miss game at home which is only 2 weeks away. There are probably 5,000 tickets left (nearly 40% of your arena) for that AT LEAST and they cost from $7-$16. No way those are going to come close to selling out.

Since Victor became eligible, LSU has an average MOV of 24. Their competition has generally been below average, but it's still a huge improvement over early in the season when they were failing to blow out the likes of Kennessaw, North Florida, and McNeese State.

LSU may have to win the SECT to even get in the NCAAT. I just looked at their schedule and their best win was against N. Florida, a team who UL ran off the floor. They don't start off league play easy either, @ Vandy, vs UK, and @ UF. Then games vs Ole Miss and @ Tx AM. This LSU team very well could be below .500 by the end of January. Lots of talent, but suspect coaching.

At that they'd have to beat Oklahoma and definitely beat us. Plus at least beat Vandy or aTm once. They need some good wins.

If they lose to Oklahoma in late January they will be 7-6 OOC. Even at 13-5 that would put them at 20-11 and not a lock at all. I don't think there's any way they finish better than 11-7 in the conference though. Hell they may finish with a losing record.

That is my thinking if you go 7-5 with a top 20 schedule you are still good but to have that record with a really bad schedule the deck is stacked against you.
