Branham is pretty solid and all the latest updates are leaning Duke. Supposedly some of Duke’s current commits have been told he’s coming to Duke. Bona will be a nice consolation prize and while not as talented of a NBA prospect he has a better motor and will probably put up similar stats in college
Lets hope this is Knox type commitment. Looks like Duke but Calipari ends up tweeting a vid of himself segwaying in his kitchen from the news.

There’s talk on the 24/7 duke paid board that Jon and duke staff laid out a blue print for DL and he loved it.
Had we not had this great recruiting period, yes.. this would be a must get. But I think we can afford to lose this one, when it's pretty clear it's Coach K who is scrambling, worried about our momentum.
We'd get Bona it seems (along with Wallace) and I think there's some good silver lining in Bona: We still lock up the class early, He's a talented big and he fits a need, He's a recruit in the range of 15-20 so he *could* be a two-year player, and he should be a 2nd-tier player on a team of studs.. the last part is something I worry about with Lively, in that its a high profile recruit, and some of these guys might want touches. I think you saw that a bit with Cam/Zion/RJ. I think it's possible you can have TOO much talent.
With Bona, I think you can sell him better on being a m3rd or 4th option, where as Lively, will likely want a bigger roll. Not saying I want Bona over him. But I do think Bona could wind up fitting just as well.

Matt Jones already going full weasel mode and hedging his bets on Duke, but also conceded that he doesn't know - just like everyone else.

Coach K to play him at all five positions simultaneously just like LeBron and also sold him on that time he helped Kobe learn to shoot threes after Kobe was already in the league for 12 years.
It’s amazing the lies duke tells bigs. All Cal has to do is show them a list of duke bigs who were promised to be a “point forward” and their NBA careers at this moment.

Well you know sometimes the family really wants one school while the player wants another and you’ve just got to wait to see who wins out. I’m an insider.
I think at least three of those guys ended up in NBA Witness Protection Program because no one has heard a word from them.
That's one of my favorite lines. It makes the insiders look like they got screwed by some type of backdoor decision.

It's same old con they always use....come out very confident and insinuate X recruit is likely to UK, then began to crawdad during the day, then put out something like this.....it's why I don't get into anymore like I used to,,,,these guys are just trying to create hits and make it seem they know something nobody else does

What goalposts were moved? Your first implied the significance of winning these recruiting wars with Duke as the utmost importance. You said I haven't been paying attention the last 6 years... I asked who has won anything the last 6 years with these type of players? Wouldn't that prove or disprove their importance and the importance of this recruiting war, at least to a degree?
