Not trying to put the cart before the horse...well maybe a little...IF Lively commits this class may very well be Cal's best. Then you have '23 with Wagner/Shep.

We will be good this year, great, I dunno...maybe.

Could be a hell of a 3 year run for certain.

Cal and crew are baddd men. And because I live in Louisville, I want to remind everyone that while we're watching this insane class ball at UK, Louisville will be sitting at home more than likely banned from the tourney for multiple years.
I hope UL gets banned for 5 years.

I wish some of you wouldn't post like it's definitely Kentucky until it's definitely Kentucky by his announcement. However, I don't even understand someone like him even considering Duke vs. Kentucky for next year. Really? You are a top talent, want to develop your game to perhaps be the number one pick. Hmmm choose between a Hall of Fame experienced coach like Cal, or Assistant Coach, whoops I mean a first time head coach Jon Scheyer.

Hot take:

Sharpe and Livingston commitments made everyone take notice. Cal got the boys back together and it’s back to being the “not %#?!ing around crew.” But this Lively commitment, with it being “UK or Duke” at the front and center, is symbolic of the pendulum having swung back Kentucky’s way. Duke has overtaken Kentucky as the “it” program over the past 5 years. This might be the sign that it’s flipped back.

too dramatic?

Question? If we get all those kids for next year, do we talk about this year or are we overlooking this years team. And who stays and who leaves?

Clearly, this looks like Kentucky but I don’t understand why saying “commit now or we take Bona” is gonna push Lively into moving his decision up, IF he was on the fence

I would think that he has the mindset that he’s going to be the #1 post player anywhere he goes so minutes aren’t going to be an issue.

So this signals to me that if he picks UK, he’s been ours for some time and Cal just wanted to get it over with.

Nobody wants to say it…… but, he’s like a taller Anthony Davis (at least on offense).
I don’t see that, maybe defense. Dribbling is a big part of an offensive skill set and he’s not on that level. AD could handle the ball like most guards because of how quickly he went from 6”2 or whatever to almost 7 feet.

Calipari visited him on September 8th. So, like 9 days ago.
Looks like it may have actually been on the 9th. Saw this from last week:

Schools that will visit 2022 @dereckl41 this week at @Westtownhoops
Thursday: Kentucky and Penn State Friday: Michigan Saturday: Duke

The Adem Bona and UK recruitment seems like the most likely scenario that is significantly ramping up the timing. If its Duke, you would have to think they would have told him to hold off for a while to see how we play our cards. Right?
