FWIW, this is the last game this year where we'll be a solid underdog. We're likely a small underdog or coin flip at Washington, and then a TD+ favorite over the rest (and multiple TD favorite against Rutgers)...and @Grant Green can keep me honest on those numbers if he'd like. These types of comments are the same thing we heard in 2020 when people predicted we wouldn't win a game, or last year when people predicted we'd lose out. We've had some bad results, but it's not like we're suddenly on a collision course with a winless Big Ten season as some seem to believe. Something less than 7-5 at this point would be a pretty big failure.
I didn't say we wouldn't win another game, but 6-6 wouldn't be a shock as neither would 8-4 or 7-5 at this point. This isn't a strong team and the beauty of Vegas numbers is they will adjust one way or another depending on how the games do play out. So many people shot their mouths off about the easy schedule and how anything less than 10 wins would be a disappointment. The reality is people love to pretend or think they are smarter than they are (myself included, we all do it), but this is not a good team and it has severe talent issues in key spots.
