KM VS SP

The more I look at this game it comes down to two areas. Mistakes including turnovers and penalties would be enough to create a loss for either team. The second and likely most important is coaching. Specifically, SP offense versus KM defense. Feel comfortable that we know what KM will and should do and that is to load the box. ML is a master at finding blocking patterns for his team as a game wears on. The tight defense creates short runs and the opportunity for long runs. How many seams will ML and staff find. SP defense should be able to hold KM offense to a reasonable number of points. SP wins if they can find 28 points.

Long story short: KM will leave Lineberger Stadium with a bloody butthole at about 9:34 PM on Friday.
This season has been short on seeing D1 or D2 type players on the field as opponents. I think the only ones I've personally seen has been Harbison and Neal (both barely D1s), and the RB from Lincolnton can go somewhere. I don't hear of any from this KM team? That isn't the end all, because we don't have any either but CAN KM actually play better as a team than SP? I seriously doubt it - therefore refer to my first sentence.

You are right about Foster and Willis.
Hey....how come yall aren't better than yall already are? Seriously....if you have 5 legit D1s on a team nowadays....you should probably be winning 65-0 every game. HS football isn't real strong right now, you know?

Here lately we have had a lot of injuries and earlier in the season a lot of games the starters were took out right after halftime.

South Point wins game after game with two plays. The fullback dive and the QB keeper. You can check out ESPN on the phone or pick lint off Coondog's coat until they get down near the goal line.

pretty much true. While it's the triple option....only two options are used.

very true. Not many in the last few years can stop basically double option, a trap and counter run game.

I love seeing the midgets win. Those Belmont boys are tougher than anybody in the state. I am being sincere. But one thing is certain. No QB who can sling it or skill kid is going to be enticed to come to South Point. You don't showcase skills in a SP offense.

That's why superman over at East Lincoln is where he is at. Dad is not going to let all that talent be drowned in two dives and a five yard keeper.

GDG, I thought you might like to know that the BMS wrestling team is like 7-0 or 6-1. Not sure how many of those play football, but it looks good for the Raiders in those two sports in a year or so.

Agree that no pocket passer is likely to find their way to SP, but disagree on skilled kids not having a place at SP. Etherton has put up over 1900 yards and King almost 1600 yards rushing. Would be a great place for a great running back to show off his skills. A kid like Moe Neal on this year's SP team would have made SP unstoppable.

Alright gentlemen, here we go!! I can't stand mountaineers. They stand between us and everlasting glory. They need to be dealt with harshly the Red Raider way. Make no mistake, it is us or them. Will it be them? It most certainly will not be them because we are the mighty Red Raiders! Too late to out prepare us! Too late to out coach us! Too late to change your heritage.

WE ARE THE MIGHTY RED RAIDERS!!! Bring your best and limp home like the rest!

If Moe Neal played for SP he would need reconstructive surgery every year. Bray and Etherton are a coaches dream for busting the oppositions helmets.

South Point SUCKS! I'd pull for ISIS before I'd pull for them. They scored 13 on the Champs. Real hard to stop.

Have spent a lot of time looking at KM and the more that I do, the more that I am impressed with their defense. 9, 5, and 15 are players. SP will need to use KM's aggressiveness against them. Believe that having them play Hibriten last week is a blessing. Mickey and Co have had a week to analyze how they played the triple option. Less impressed with KM offense. As long as SP scores some points, I like our chances. 24 hours from now we will be approaching halftime. If it is close at that point, then it is SP's game. Go Raiders!

Hey rulz, you have a PM on the other site. Chargerbacker got upset because I told one of the Concord fans that bet $100 you wouldn't show your face to bring his $100 because I thought you would and that you were a good guy. If you aren't afraid to meet me, I know that you wouldn't back down from him.

Rulz, hate to tell you, but you have just gone over the top. How the heck can you type this after the terrorist attack in CA yesterday. This is HS football. ISIS is a threat to our very existence.

Some have the Kool-Aid in their bottles. And some choose to join the Textile Bowl crowd. Sad state of affairs either way you want to look at it.

I don't fault you over it, I just feel sorry.

Thanks bro, when it's my turn for the Kool Aid, I ask for a double.

That was work-place violence. That's what your President said. On top of that get over yourself. I come from a family of veterans and I am one myself, are you? In other words I served my Country in the Persian Gulf, you need not try and get on me with that ********, because it will not work. I'm NOT politically correct, I was making a point about SP, and anyone with the brain the size of a walnut understood that. CLOWN!

You freaking pansies playing that patriotic crap with me. Go join the Army, Navy, Air Force, or the Marines, do your time, and then talk. I did!

South Point SUCKS. I'd pull for the Taliban before I'd pull for them.

And, by the way. Good luck to both teams. The better one will win. If my attempt at humor offended anyone, get bent.

I would pull for the Chargers over ISIS or the Taliban. That is pretty much the entire list.

KM managed to get 1st down to the KM 45 before stalling out. KM punts but ball touched SP player and was recovered by KM at the SP 26

A loss of yardage and a false start moved KM back to the SP 35. A pass to the SP 17 made it 4th and 1. SP defense held. SP gets ball on downs at the SP 17.

SP Wilson carried to the SP 35, but the Raider drive appeared that it would fall short as on 3rd and 7, King did not quite make it for the 1st down. However, a personal foul penalty on KM gave the Raiders the 1st down. Etherton broke loose to the KM 32 for the 1st. Wilson to the KM 28 - 2nd and 6. Next play gain of 3. Etherton got to the KM 24 to bring up 4th and 1. Raiders went for the 1st down and got it from Etherton - KM 22. Next play brought up 2nd and 7, then 3rd and 5. Etherton breaks through for the 1st and goal at the KM 9. Next play, Raiders coughed it up on the KM 1. KM recovered at their own 2 yard line. KM picked up a couple of yards to make it 2nd and 7 from the KM 4. Time out for injured Raider with 1 minute left in 1st quarter. Defensive battle so far.

No gain on first play of 2Q. KM 14 - 3rd and 8. KM QB threw the ball out of bounds under pressure. Mountaineers forced to punt.

SP fair catch at the KM 49/midfield. On 1st play, Etherton for a 49 yard TD. PAT good.

KM starting at the KM 31. KM QB Burns sacked in the backfield, bringing up 2nd and 16, then an illegal procedure/delay of game backed the Mountaineers up to the KM 20. Small gain but still 3rd and 20. Incomplete pass made it 4th and 20. Mountaineers forced to punt.

SP at the KM 46. SP then 2nd and 6, then short gain to bring up 3rd and 2 to the KM 38. Raiders stopped just short of the KM 36 to bring up 4th down. Etherton pushed through for the 1st down at the KM 35. Raiders to the KM 33 but then lost yards to the KM 36 - 3rd and 10. Pass incomplete brought up 4th down. Fake punt by SP by Hall to the KM 17 and the 1st down. SP T/O 4:44 left in half.
