Whichever team wins the south division today - will be the 1st team in nfl history to win their division (twice) with a losing record.


What a category to be in.

This post reminded me of a documentary I watched on Netflix (iirc) recently about Tim Donaghy… Some very interesting stuff there about how he would go into games knowing he and his crew would be targeting certain players and teams. Really infuriating stuff, especially as a fan of UNC football who is convinced this **** has happened towards us time and again.

And yeah, it definitely looked like something was going on yesterday. The annoying thing is that this stuff pops up in multiple sports and the same teams/markets seem to get the benefit in all of them. Don’t start me on hockey.

Damn. Playoff bound. Perhaps the most unworthy team ever, but as we often hear on the golf course, they don’t draw pictures on the scorecard.

All teams in the NFC South finished 3-3.
Three teams finished tied for 1st, with a 8-9 losing record.
The Panthers just became the 1st team to win their division with a losing record TWICE.

So a home playoff game in Charlotte next weekend against either the Rams or 49ers. Anything can happen.

I’d rather play the 49ers, just so McCaffrey can comeback and play here again.
But, I believe it will be the Rams, because I don’t see them losing the the Cardinals this afternoon…

I gave the 10 points and put $20 on rams-- will be happy to lose it if the panthers win- but if they keep it under 10 i will be pissed.

Not the kind of start the Panthers could afford. Going for it on fourth wasn’t a good decision, IMO.
