Again Coaching hires since Pelini was fired.

What part aren’t you understanding here, has nothing about being in the B1G and results would had been the same in the Big12.

I'm not complaining about the results in the B1G. I'm complaining about the fit. And stating the fact that all that money (the only positive to being in the B1G) hasn't resulted in anything as far as results. We get neither a good fit, nor results from the money. It's two separate points. But, yeah I can see how they seem a little blurred.

Bo and Carl both treated me very well and were easy to work.with on a project. I know several players who played for them that absolutely loved them- fiercely loyal because Bo loved them and had their back.

However the lack of self awareness was awful when it came to turning the players against the fans. Bo was a train wreck on many game days and it didn’t help the team or the University.

Bo loves football and coaching kids- but his thin skin and inability to self control just doesn’t lend itself to being gainfully employed over the long haul. He needed to go and I like him for the most part.

Today’s equation just isn’t a good fit for Bo Pelini
With the way Bo dominated JC recruiting...he would KILL it with NIL.

Our team would be old, they would be mature, they would be good football players that wanted to get coached hard.

A lot of you guys are cry babies...which is ironic because that is what you say you hate about Bo.

I guess but I don't care.

Just like I don't care if the coaches "like me" and do charity work.

If you want to care about the coaches feelings and your feelings that is great but that is not the type of fan that I am.

Just like the losers that are like "Oh wow, I don't think I can root for the Pats anymore since I found that their coach likes hot girls"

Freddy Krueger could be the head coach for NU and if he wins AT LEAST 9 games each season and sometimes 10...I am going to look past a few of the poor choices that he made in his life.

Just like Mother Theresa could coach NU and if she is not winning 9 or 10 games...I will be like "Maybe she is spending too much time feeding the starving kids in India"
It doesn't matter how nice you are, you have to win at least 9-10 per year. I agree.

Where we do disagree is that if your max ceiling is only 9-10 wins per year, then you can't be a crybaby a-hole. You dont even have to be a saint. Do that and you'll be here forever.

If you are going to be a crybaby a-hole, then you have to be winning 11-13 games per year. Do that, even as a jerk, and you'll be here forever.

I think that for sure...11+ wins means that even the BIGGEST baby fans, would be okay. I think...but some of those fans are so thin skinned that they still might demand that the coach french kisses them.

well that's sad
Why? Sports, as a fan, are about the wins/losses.

Are their sometimes some feel good stories? Of course! Are there sometimes some deeper meanings? Sure! Remember that Navy Seal that was on the team, that was a great story, even if he was truly horrible at football.

But for most fans, we only care about shallowness of the wins/losses. That is why we look at the scoreboard. That is totally okay.

Remember a few years ago when we had to pretend how NU was the best 3 win team ever? That was stupid, that was sad.

would you rather be Boise State, winning against no-names or compete against the best but not have as many wins?

Good question!

With the current playoff setting you are chasing 10 wins (even through Rhule would rather chase 3).

So from NU, I just want those 10 wins. Boise made it with 11 wins. I would be happy with that as well!

Who they play now during the regular season is almost not important. 10 wins in the Big Ten PROBABLY get your in the playoffs. But 4 losses keeps you out.

So I want wins. I would rather NU be 10-2 and get rocked in the first round of the playoffs (but still have that excitement of having that chance to win it all) than NU go 7-5 with a "tough" schedule that results in some lame *** bowl game.

Yeah, no doubt their fans have been having more fun than we have the last decade plus.

BUT, none of them have ever had as much fun as we did in 90s.

Tough one.
Man...I would have to look it up but had the 12 team playoff been around in the 90's, NU would have made it how many times? 5? 6?

FSU would have made it every year? I think?

I don't know and I'm probably too lazy to look it up. At least right now. But, that whole "would you rather be us or Boise State" hypothetical is an interesting one. It's a little like...

Option A) You get to bang a 6 once a month. Sometimes an 8, sometime a 4. But average a 6 and never a 9 or 10. But you're bangin' damn near every month.
Option B) You rarely get laid, but when you do, say every couple years, it's a 9 and there's even a chance at a 10 every few years.

Tough one. I think my dick would vote A though.

Nebraska should be like Colorado was 30 years ago, the head coach gets a one year contract, we can have a revolving door with coaches if he doesn’t win a national championship don’t renew his contract hire next man up. Do away with the athletic director just let the state legislature decide everything
Great story, bro. Too bad you just made it up.

I keep winning and you keep losing with your rebuttal not knowing any Husker or even worse Clarkeye history since you’re one on them.

Yeah... except Bo's job was one that paid him $2M-3M per year.

Every single head football coach gets ripped on one time or another. That's part of the job. Every coach seems to understand that except for Bo and he's the only one who ever got real sensitive about it. We're also probably the only program with fans who came (still come) to Bo's rescue any time his feelings got hurt and threw a temper tantrum.
umm, k-state still lovin' on frank martin. the epitome of meh. so N's not the only fanbase.
