Not sure why Rivals has him as having one from PSU as our recruiting guy has been pretty adamant he doesn't have one.
If you are someone who can read between the lines - you knew a long time ago he wasn't coming here
Penn State offered October 24, according to 247, the best source for Penn State recruiting coverage. That said, although it might have for a time, I think it's safe to assume PSU would not accept a commitment from Lovett right now. Too many other guys higher on the board for the 2-3 spots expected to come open before Signing Day.
With that logic we should have pulled Peppers offer, Gary's offer, and Fitzpatrick, wimbush, etcI want Ash to drop his offer. Do not let this become like the Stills or Idrizi type of situation. Even if the kid commits here, he is going to be looking elsewhere. It looks worse when a guy commits here and then goes to a different school than not committing here at all.
Don't really view Lovett as a program maker or breaker. -He's a good back and would be a nice/decent addition to this class, (if he actually appeared to want to be here), but clearly that isn't the vibe he's giving off.
Hey, it's his decision and he's going to do what he, and/or his "advisors", think is best for him. -But personally, I'm getting tired of this kid's act and I wouldn't mind at all if the RU staff finally told him enough is enough and we moved on.
JMO, of course, but that's how I've come to feel about this situation.
I just wonder where his parents and HC are in all of this or if he is that bonkers.
I don't think Lovett is coming here. Don't pull his offer, that's a Flood move.
The kid de-committed after PSU offered. Then PSU backed away. That being said, he's not coming here. He's probably Iowa-bound.
There used to be an unspoken rule that if a kid gives a verbal to another school in your conference, you don't give him an offer after his verbal. I guess that doesn't apply in the Big 10.
Not trying to be a deeK but I couldn't give two sheets about 247.

just focus on Devin Darrington
What's the deal with this guy? I only heard his connection with Rutgers through this board? Do we have a shot?
The news just keeps getting better & better for RU recruiting.
You can thank Urban Meyer for that.
Playing nice isn't "cool".Exactly.
In all honesty, that unwritten rule was past its expiration date. These coaches are in mutli-million dollar positions and playing nice is cool as a concept but not realistic.
Last I read about him:What's the deal with this guy? I only heard his connection with Rutgers through this board? Do we have a shot?
You're both doing yourself a disservice coming on our boards, talking about Cult stuff and being Cult members.I'm not on payroll there, so no offense taken. But from one Penn Stater to another, if you care about reading the most accurate and timely PSU recruiting news, you're doing yourself a disservice by giving zero sheets.
Playing nice isn't "cool".
It's "honorable".
A concept that seems to be going the way of the dodo.

I'm saying the gentleman's agreement should never have been broken. It was one of the classier things that used to differentiate the Big Ten from the other conferences.Apparently your HC just offered one of our commits. Savage.

It's water under the bridge at this point.
The standards have been lowered.

Urban killed that old gentlemen's handshake deal. He brought that SEC cutthroat recruiting style to the Big Ten. At 1st the Big Ten HC were shocked and now everyone does it.
Harbaugh then took recruiting to another level with his camps that even had the SEC crying foul and sent them running to the NCAA to change the rules.
That wouldn't be nice or fair.Don't forget the sleepovers.
I know people are going to say I'm in no position to comment but those just seem weird to me.
