Well, in an effort to be rigorous, that organization you are referring to as the UNCAA, I lovingly call The Filth. I generally refer to the NCAA as the Most Corrupt NCAA so as to avoid confusion. I agree that when one completely loses any sense of ethics, these terms are very difficult to keep straight. It is difficult to tell one piece of crap from another.
I agree. 99.999999% of the people in America have no idea who Nassar is. You don’t have a big story unless you can drag Izzo and Dantonio into it. Is that what’s happening here? I don’t know. But fairness demands we be careful about rushing to judgment.
I need to read up on this, so forgive the ignorance, but how would the bball and football (or most any other) coach know whats going on with a doctor who is treating gymnasts? I suppose you might hear "whispers" but trying to understand their complicity. In PSU case these were ADs and administrators associated with the football program.

Again, this is about MUCH more than Nassar.
Nassar worked at Michigan State. Higher ups at the University were hiding his crimes. In investigating what MSU was hiding against Nassar — they realized they were hiding crimes committed in the football and basketball departments.
The leftist media mocked our Vice_President for his policy of NOT going out to dinner meetings alone with a woman not his wife, unless his wife was also there. It sounds like under the current climate....he is pretty damn wise.

More immediate here is that MSU appears to have an overall lack of understanding that protecting its student body from sexual assault is important. Or that when faced with issues such as Nassar (or the Payne/Appling charge), they retreat and pretend nothing happened. Or worse, prove they knew it happened, and just make the accused tell his mommy he made a mistake and call it a day.
This isn't about coaches covering for a sexual predator; it's about coaches not doing the right thing when presented with the opportunity.

Kind of a coincidence, but I drove up to Michigan today because my wife's grandfather is/was in hospice (passed today at noon, was 100 years old), but I'm sitting in a very large room filled with Michigan State fans and they are stunned.

What is being said is that it goes much deeper than the doctor that treated gymnasts. That might be what opened pandora's box but it's not the end of the story. There are already allegations of abuse and sexual assault that Izzo did know about and covered up already being reported.
I don't know that certain other coaches who may have squeaky clean images are safe if this stuff is happening. Lotta powerful people from the schools that have gotten hit so far, yet they could do nothing to protect the coaches involved. If the FBI or media are after you, there is no fortune 500 CEO in the world that can stop the train.
