We are in a day and age when you don't know which twitter tweet to believe but this sounds bad. Bad for Izzo.and Dantonio. I suppose we will have to just wait and see. If this is not fake say good-bye to the basketball and football coach.

It doesn’t look good but Tom Izzo isn’t resigning over conduct of a grad assistant or sexual assault “allegations” of two former players. It’ll take more to drive him out. And there may well be more. We don’t know.

Would there players be immediately eligible for transfer without sitting out next year? I would think yes. Not to mention next year signees Marcus Bingham Jr, Thomas Kithier, Foster Loyer, Gabe Brown I would doubt they go to MSU after this.

This would be a hell of a way to end your Hall of Fame career. Pitino and Izzo going out in disgrace back to back? Who would have dreamed such a thing.

From what I have read, seems Izzo decided to turn his back on more than one allegation involving either his team or coaches. This is just not acceptable. Not today, not ever. Grown men have to act like grown men.

In my business, I have been faced with decisions that were seriously detrimental to the bottom line. More than once, I have had to terminate long standing and extremely productive team members for violating company policy regarding sexual misconduct, inappropriate sexual behavior, or sexual harassment. I have never, nor will I ever, condone, tolerate, or ignore behavior that isn't acceptable (either in violation of policy, law, or just morally inappropriate).

I don't know what is true or not, but IF Izzo allowed either players or coaches to continue in their roles after such behavior, well, he should be gone asap. If not by his own choice, then by his boss stepping up and doing what is right.

If he's going to resign, it's because he somehow knew and didn't say anything. At that point, "retiring" in the middle of the season isn't the behavior to criticize him for.

Exactly. AD leaving is pretty telling. I don't know **** about what has happened, but what I suspect is that Izzo knew of more than one or two incidents that occurred, decided to have a chat with player/coach and call it a day. Ignore and move on. Coward if so. He has to look in the mirror.

Now, with all that's happened and unfolded with Nassar, and all that's coming out about athletics in general (football and basketball), he probably realizes that the doodie is about to hit the fan.

I hope this is not becoming a trend to pile on others as justice for the actions of others.

Accusations should be taken serious, but in America the accused have rights.

If it's moving this fast? Yeah, there must be some damning evidence. IDK how Izzo or others wouldn't turn them in. Once you know this info, you're gonna take the fall, too.

My issue is that Izzo personally did not do anything. There is a difference in knowing about allegations and knowing it actually happened.

Sandusky molested so many kids over the years and coaches saw it and did nothing to stop him or prevent situations like that from occurring.

I mean, it's all speculation at this point. But for how fast this is moving.. sounds like Izzo knew, or that he helped hide someone.. something big had to have happened.. IF, the buzz above is true. My buddy, who isn't really that much in the know on college ball, texted me if this was true..

I teach my management teams this constantly - once you have information, or receive information, regarding any behavior or practice that may be a violation of policy or procedure (and especially the acutual law), you have to report that information immediately. If your supervisor doesn't take action, report to the next person up. In doing this, not only do you retain your ability to manage and lead, you place that burden on someone who can do something about it. By looking the other way, or ignoring that information, even if you just don't want to be involved, it becomes your problem. And that leads to you being responsible.

I have to agree. Folks need to step back and let the facts come out. Its entirely possible that this may turn into a "shoot everyone in sight of Nassar" type of exercise.

I'd take issue with you last sentence. The accused don't just have rights. In the US, they are presumed innocent until guilty.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that Aly Raisman's mom laid into Izzo last week because she claimed he knew and did nothing.

And in the state of NC, you are presumed innocent, even when there is lots of evidence that you ARE guilty.

Alas, in the most corrupt court of the NCAA, that is true. Presumed innocence without hope of guilt for some teams.

This is why I never speak to women at work anymore except about work. If I am walking by them I move as far to the other side to make sure we don't even bump into each other.

Crazy. This tells me they have firsthand knowledge of stuff that occurred, detailed in emails. Remember, Tressell was nailed by emails (he seems like a saint in comparison). Shows that very few are above misconduct in the workplace, even someone who’s been lauded such as Izzo.

I really hope UK is keeping things on the up and up.
