Yeah, I scanned over it didn't see it. Thanks. I got it now.Did you even read the article you posted? [laughing]

You obsessed? Not many UK fans get up and think about IU EVERYDAY. Get out more.UK has a major drop off of talent beyond its starters, so I doubt it.
A toss up in your mind but a UK big win on the court. Keep dreaming.It would be a toss up if we played now.
Race Thompson > Collins or Toppin
Trayce = Oscar
Johnson = Wheeler
Hood = Wallace
Kopp < Livingston
Reneau= Collins or Toppin
Geronimo > Thiero
Bates = Fredrick
Galloway > Reeves
We still have Banks Leal who will get some PT this year.
What changes things is UK won it all in 2012. What was different is UK made the best of their win in 2012 and won a title and in 2016 IU flopped as usual. UK is Indians's super bowl and they can't continue to win in the NCAA tourney after a win against UK, Indiana is just another team to UK and we will continue on to the next game.Really? So in 2016, the stakes were different? Ok....Here I thought both teams were playing to try and advance...Get to a FF....I mean UK did win the SEC and the SECT....Beat Duke....lost a toughie in OT, @ Kansas...Was at one time ranked #1(3 weeks)....was in the Top 10 until Jan.....Entered NCAAT winners of 5 straight, and 7 of 8 games...
So what was different---Ya know, stakes wise? Was the NCAAT a double-elimination, format? I mean I get it---UK was a huge fav to win it all in 2012....SO I guess that changes things?
Anyways----the question was----"Who won, when it mattered". Both did. NCAAT matters, right? Lose---go home. Win, advance. That was all stil the same.
Shows how delusional you are to say Trayce Jackson is equal to Oscar. Have you forgotten that Oscar was national player of the year last year. How many votes did Trayce get? This shows you are void of common sense. Go back to the IU board.Race Thompson > Collins or Toppin
Trayce = Oscar
Johnson = Wheeler
Hood = Wallace
Kopp < Livingston
Reneau= Collins or Toppin
Geronimo > Thiero
Bates = Fredrick

So winning a title after playing IU is irrelevant. Shows how much you know about basketball. It is only irrelevant to IU since they haven't won a title in decades.How ya figure? NCAAT games matter---as in IF you lose, you go home. What happens after that is irrelevant. JMO...You ask which team won vs the other, when it mattered---My answer was both----It mattered in 2012, and it mattered in 2016...
Trayce being equal to Oscar is actually not that far off. Having Hood equal to Wallace and Reneau equal to Collins and Toppin is way more laughable.Shows how delusional you are to say Trayce Jackson is equal to Oscar. Have you forgotten that Oscar was national player of the year last year. How many votes did Trayce get? This shows you are void of common sense. Go back to the IU board.
Tracye Jackson didn't even win player of the year in the BIG 10 last year. He is good but nowhere on the level of Oscar.Trayce being equal to Oscar is actually not that far off. Having Hood equal to Wallace and Reneau equal to Collins and Toppin is way more laughable.
Lol. When your team has only been past the Sweet 16 once since April, 1993 and won nothing -not even a conference tournament - in 35 long, painful years, I suppose all NCAA tournament games are equal.I'd say both?
UK in 2012 SW 16...
IU in 2016 2nd round....
1987So winning a title after playing IU is irrelevant. Shows how much you know about basketball. It is only irrelevant to IU since they haven't won a title in decades.
Blah, blah and blah....What changes things is UK won it all in 2012. What was different is UK made the best of their win in 2012 and won a title and in 2016 IU flopped as usual. UK is Indians's super bowl and they can't continue to win in the NCAA tourney after a win against UK, Indiana is just another team to UK and we will continue on to the next game.
As I said. IU has not won a title in decades.1987
Again----the question was---"what team won when it mattered"----Are you saying the 2nd round game in 2016 didn't matter?Lol. When your team has only been past the Sweet 16 once since April, 1993 and won nothing -not even a conference tournament - in 35 long, painful years, I suppose all NCAA tournament games are equal.
For Kentucky fans, wins that lead to championships (2012) or Final Fours/Final Games (1975) matter more than one that leads to a blow-out loss in the next round.
Every time I type that I find myself laughing out loud. Kentucky has been at least as far as the Elite Eight SIXTEEN TIMES and won three championships while playing in eight Final Fours in the span that Indiana has gotten past the Sweet 16 once and won nothing. Damn is that pathetic.
It’s their superbowlWith the game not being until 25-26, does that mean we have to suffer through the iu trolls posting the same crap here for the next few seasons?
If winning a title is the ultimate goal then it didn't mean much.Blah, blah and blah....
Question was, "what team won when it mattered"---Are you telling me the 2nd round game in 2016 didn't matter?
So UK's goal in 2016 wasn't to win the title? Or IU's? So the 2nd round game in 2016 was meaningless----didn't matter?If winning a title is the ultimate goal then it didn't mean much.
Yep, I vividly recall the epic battle between Trayce and Oscar last year on who would be national player of the year. A real toss up as I remmeber.Race Thompson > Collins or Toppin
Trayce = Oscar
Johnson = Wheeler
Hood = Wallace
Kopp < Livingston
Reneau= Collins or Toppin
Geronimo > Thiero
Bates = Fredrick
Galloway > Reeves
We still have Banks Leal who will get some PT this year.
So UK's goal in 2016 wasn't to win the title? Or IU's? So the 2nd round game in 2016 was meaningless----didn't matter?
Gotcha.
I guess last years 1st round loss to St. Peter's didn't matter, either-----right?
As of today it means little since we lost. On to this year. UK's goal is to at least make the final four and ultimately a title every year. If we lose then we can't accomplish either goal. I realize it has been so long since IU won even a conference title that any win means a lot to you guys.So UK's goal in 2016 wasn't to win the title? Or IU's? So the 2nd round game in 2016 was meaningless----didn't matter?
Gotcha.
I guess last years 1st round loss to St. Peter's didn't matter, either-----right?
IU last won the Big 10 in 2016....As of today it means little since we lost. On to this year. UK's goal is to at least make the final four and ultimately a title every year. If we lose then we can't accomplish either goal. I realize it has been so long since IU won even a conference title that any win means a lot to you guys.
Best answer yet----And I 100% agree. But when a the question is, "what team lwon when it mattered---not when it mattered the most, the answer is both...And TBH, winning in the NCAAT matters...rather you have a chance to win the title, or not.Neither team had a legit shot at a title in 2016. Unc was beating either with ease.
Uk was the clear favorite in 2012 and if Indiana beat UK they may have won it all.
Some ncaa wins have more value than others.
That is why last years loss to St. Peters is history. This year is what counts now.IU last won the Big 10 in 2016....
Hoosiers have been **** for 20+ years....
That means nothing----I worry about 2023-----not what has or has not happened in the past 20 years.
This is just one reason I'm not a fan of renewing this series. The first game is like 3 years away and the delusional talk has already started.Shows how delusional you are to say Trayce Jackson is equal to Oscar. Have you forgotten that Oscar was national player of the year last year. How many votes did Trayce get? This shows you are void of common sense. Go back to the IU board.
Yep....I don't get into the, "what have you done the past 10, 20 years"---Its meaningless. It has no bearing on this year.That is why last years loss to St. Peters is history. This year is what counts now.
How we received your post (you're the guy on the left):IU has won two of the past 3.....![]()
"We"? Maybe YOU and a few other "softies"---For the most part, its been good discussion.How we received your post (you're the guy on the left):

Since you don’t get it, let me attempt an explanation. The fans of the all time great programs put a lot of stock in things like National Championships, Final Fours, all time wins, etc. When fans of other programs that are not among the all time greats come to our board and start saying but…but…but look at us this year, we know it’s just another wannabe seeking validation or wanting to be at the grown-ups table.Yep....I don't get into the, "what have you done the past 10, 20 years"---Its meaningless. Good luckthis season. Hope dudes get healthy, and get the damn injury **** out of the way..
Okay, Waingro."We"? Maybe YOU and a few other "softies"---For the most part, its been good discussion.
You do know I'm not a Louisville fan, right?Since you don’t get it, let me attempt an explanation. The place to seek validation is on the court. Go win the Big 10 and get to the Final Four. Until then, have the good grace not to be a pest to the people at the grown-ups’ table.
Sorry facts hurt your feelings....If me posting here bothers you bro, put me on ignore---Pretty easy solution.Okay, Waingro.
Really? So in 2016, the stakes were different? Never said it was a success-----Just answered the question asked: "Who won when it mattered". I guess that game in 2016 didn't matter b/c there were no expectations,since it was CLEAR that team was going nowhere....Thats cool..wow guy, so many low standards I can taste it. Congrats on proving that your fan base really is throwing parades over very minor victories.
I shouldn’t have to explain this but I will.
2012, we had only two losses - one to Indiana on a buzzer beater that you still make popcorn boxes commemorating. Your season was already a success in your fan bases’ mind. If UK had lost in the S16, our season would have been a failure. That’s the difference in the stakes - you’re happy to be there, we’re here to win it and nothing else matters.
2016, sure we beat Duke, sure we won the SEC. Whatever. Nice and all, but that’s just a baseline. That’s what we expect. It was clear that team wasn’t going anywhere. We have championship expectations, and we knew that team was unacceptable at the end of the day. Unlike Indiana who still are obsessed with beating one of our weakest teams in the second round.
bottom line, what you consider a wild success is failure to us. We are not the same.
