The play call was absolutely the problem. Anyone on Planet Earth think Vanderbilt is stopping 4 runs from the 4 yard line? F No! (we likely need 1 run).

Got cute and got burned. Why do OC's pull that ****? The really odd part is that Gronowski actually threw a really nice pass. That's shocking too.
So if getting 4 yds on three carries was guaranteed, why would you punt on 4th and 2 feet? Nothing was guaranteed from the 4 yard line. It was a great call and perfect throw.

Offense has had a month to prepare and they just make mistake after mistake.
BAU. Execution is the root of a lot of our offensive struggles over the past 5+ years.

You could run a perfect play and get a wide open layup and they brick it off the bottom part of the rim. That is our football offense in a nutshell..................
