There was no excuse to put the ball in the air with the way we were running the ball on 1st and goal from the 4. Period. MG has been absolute gold in this area running all season. They got cute. I expect Kirk to admit as much after the game if it cost them the game.

They did. The timeout they got for free was at the end of the first quarter. Refs blew the whistle while the clock was running and then said the quarter ended.
