Not going to get into the repetitive adolescent bickering, but I'm wondering where you got the idea ISU was using state funds. It was Iowa, not Iowa State, the borrowed $50 million in order to cope with covid ..... and hasn't paid any of it back yet, as far as I know.

Iowa has began to repay on the loan, for over three years now. At 2.5% interest, I don’t think Iowa is in any rush to repay the loan quickly, nor should they be.
My bad. I'm so old I remember when UI athletics was self-supporting. But if you can get a loan for 2.5%, by all means do it.
I was in Boulder last night and there are a lot of ISU fans in town. CU has some talent but has consistently shot themselves in the foot.
Looks like ISU is only a 3 point favorite going in. CU QB is dynamic -if he can limit mistakes then ISU will have their hands full.
Why are ALL of you clowns so misinformed. OH, that right, it doesn't fit your agenda, They didn't borrow money from the state. They borrowed from the University, and it was not an issue. this one time "loan" was because (like all most all teams) the loss of revenue due to covid screwed up the budget since most of the expenses still had to be paid. Since Iowa athletics is required to spend their income each year there was no "rainy day fund". For years Iowa athletics was not only self sustained but they were giving excess funds to the Universities general fund. If any of the "loan " has not yet be repayed, I'm sure it will be shortly with the extra TV revenue. Funny you guys keep bringing up this "non issue" between the athletics program and the University, neither of which you have any idea what was done, or whats happened since.
You may be old, but I’m certain you remember the global pandemic that shut down college sports right. The one that disrupted scheduling and fan attendance for the following year.
Obviously Covid-19 hurt some larger schools and more prominent ones than most smaller schools. OSU lost $66M alone. Michigan lost over $40M. Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Penn St lost over $20M.
I never said they need state money now. Pollard is saying the clowns need the state help once this year is over in order to cover the $20.5m for revenue sharing.
It is all there in the BOR Budget report. I get how that isn’t something clown fans want to read and understand. Oh and looney clown Iowa has been paying back the loan from Covid but I get why clown fans insist that be ignored. Again just read that BOR Budget report.
