After watching Iowa State and KSU, I had a suspicion Iowa State’s defense was not going to be good this year. After watching Iowa’s offense sputter against that defense, I knew it was likely going to be a long season.
Agree, although as Gronowski improved the offense had improved. They've gone from god awful to just inadequate.

The Big 8 does not deserve an automatic spot in the playoff. A middle of the pack B1G team could win that conference.
You can’t hit helmet to helmet. That’s what happened. Defender lowered his helmet and runner did not. You couldn’t do that to a running back either. Will get tossed.

300 yards total offense in the first half. Iowa rolled up all of 214 for the game.
Their linebackers are getting smoked. They are too big and slow. They are better than our linebackers though. I mentioned in the KSau game that their linebackers looked like they had concrete shoes.
Just goes to show what can happen when you can recruit speed...either side of the ball.

Hats off to ISU getting a td before half. Rocco is one helleva competitor.
