Because it has been worse with no future. Why are you surprised? Do you think Barchi cares if we return or not? Do you consider watching Rutgers entertaining?

It's never been this bad, never. Nothing comes close. The Shea era was better as bad as that was.Because it has been worse with no future.
No. And that had no future. We were way on the outside looking in. That was a time when more than a few thought it would never ever happen. It's never been this bad, never. Nothing comes close. The Shea era was better as bad as that was.
There is no future now unless they fire Ash and that is just a start. Financially Athletics is way worse than Mulchay and Schiano years. Barchi will suck back Big Ten funds so we are in a nightmare scenario until he is gone.No. And that had no future. We were way on the outside looking in. There is a future now, financially and being in a real legit conference that was never there before. What we do with it when we get closer is up to the collective us.
Other than the Stadium expansion what was built during that era? There is no future now unless they fire Ash and that is just a start. Financially Athletics is way worse than Mulchay and Schiano years. Barchi will suck back Big Ten funds so we are in a nightmare scenario until he is gone.
During the Shea years Rutgers wasn't getting blown out by D2 teams or crap teams. Rutgers has been smoked by EMU and Buffalo and a Kansas team that will fire there coach.
This is Rutgers lowest point ever.
email this thread to the athletic department
Two stadium expansions. Hale Center completely redone. Baseball and track fields and practice fields. Upgrades at the soccer field. And the biggest thing that was built was a nationally ranked football team with the most watched, at the time, a Thursday night game now called Pandemonium in Piscataway. Bowl games almost every year. Front Page of every NJ and NYC paper. Empire State Building lit in Scarlet. Yeah you are right nothing happened [eyeroll]Other than the Stadium expansion what was built during that era?
Out until Ash is gone. That would be pointless.
Ash is coming back. That, as much as anything, is the point of the thread. Hobbs has done the math, which may or may not include some number of variables that we're not privy to. Regardless, there's no "if", here. He'll be back for '19. If the folks in this thread who say they won't be renewing in the event are, in fact, telling the truth then we have a sense of what the stadium will look like next season.
I didn’t say nothing happened, I asked a question and not all of those things where built during the precise time you referenced. Two stadium expansions. Hale Center completely redone. The first Stadium expansion was was paid entirely by the NJSEA. And the boss/chairmen of that who pushed it through was? ... Yes Rutgers future AD Uncle Bob! The rest pretty much him as AD. The program had no structure before Schiano. The Athletic Academic support was 100% a Schiano thing but became a sports wide support because of him. Greg Brown although a supporter of Rutgers didn't open his wallet until Bob and Greg. Your hatred and disrespect of those two is well noted but you can't argue that they created the highest high water mark of Rutgers Athletics. Rutgers was a story, positive story like never seen before. Now we are a national joke.I didn’t say that, I asked a question and not all of those things where built during the precise time you referenced.
No hatred. Not sure where you get that idea? Glad where we are in B1G picture because of what was done during that time. The first Stadium expansion was was paid entirely by the NJSEA. I felt like we needed to put the census on the record.
Here's the setup:
It's the end of the season, we're officially 1-11 and Ash is back next year.
For season ticket holders: Do you renew, Yes / No?
Well your post prior give zero credit to Bob Mulcahy or Greg Schiano. Which is either hatred or ignorance. Those two deserve a ton of credit for many things positive at RU during their time. Yes you can be critical of some short comings but your posts are completely ignoring all of the great things. Rutgers Athletics were never better before them or after them.No hatred. Not sure where you get that idea? Glad where we are in B1G picture because of what was done during that time.
I just don’t submit there is no future.
Keeping your tickets doesn't make you a better Rutgers Football fan than those who don't. You just rather spend your time in a parking lot than elsewhereWe currently have 14 tickets. I have talked to a some of our crew, but not all, and 'm guessing we might lose a couple, but not more than that, as most still seem interested, probably because our crew is not filled with fanatics, but rather, people who have just as much fun with the tailgates as the games. Even if everyone abandoned ship, I'd keep at least my original 2 tickets (which I've had since the early 90s when I stopped getting free tix from grad students I knew), because I'm a Rutgers Football Fan.

And until Barchi is gone there is no future. If the President of any college has zero interest in sports you are doomed.
We all want a better future. I will be thrilled to make a bowl game some year soon. I'm 57 years old. Waited 30 years for a season like 2006. Can't wait another 30 for the next. Also as time flys by you realize your free time is like gold. It shouldn't be spent being miserable and cost you a fortune for the aggravation. There is much happier times being away from watching an 1-11 team.I asked a question. You provided an answer.
The sad part is if in the future we end up hanging our hat on a red ESB and all of us running onto the field as our “highlights” or zenith, well IMO that’s a failure.
Hopefully that’s just a nice memory someday.
Don’t you remember that Coors beer tasted better when you couldn’t buy it here?I still don't understand why In-N-Out burgers refuse to open restaurants on the East Coast.
So you preferred losing 70-0 to the likes of Syracuse? It's never been this bad, never. Nothing comes close. The Shea era was better as bad as that was.
For a Bowl game we had to fight tooth and nail to get on TV back here? LOL (that’s a joke, son)We all want a better future. I will be thrilled to make a bowl game some year soon. I'm 57 years old. InJust a reply thing. I'm more interested in the necrothread possibilities than the math (which I can do myself. maybe with a little help.)
I'm in for 2 just because my mother likes to watch the horse come out.

Just as a point of debate, I think it does. This isn't meant to be offensive, and lord knows keeping season tix or not is not really meaningful to someone who is 10,000 miles away, but I think the person stays in during the really bad times is a better fan than one who does not.Keeping your tickets doesn't make you a better Rutgers Football fan than those who don't. Has to do with their distribution centers. In order to maintain freshness standards a franchise can only open a certain distance from one of their approved distribution centers. Franchises are only allowed to keep food products for a certain amount of days then must throw out and order more. So the idea is, you order and can get a delivery the next day. No approved centers in the East.
Out with occasional single game tickets. Call me back when the admin takes sports seriously.

What do others think?
I think there is no virtue in being a better fan.
We should seek our better life. Better use of money. Better use of time. Better to let market forces influence direction.
Better fans give admin the impression there is no urgency.
