Was a close game. The guys kept fighting. That's all we can ask for. This team doesn't quit, that's for sure. Sux to lose, but our series history vs Bama is nothing to sneeze at.
We beat Tennessee at home in a couple weeks and everyone will just loooooove the Cats again
Good way to look at it. We're gonna win a couple of road games we expect to lose and lose a couple we expect to win. Today was one of them, unfortunately.
I always stick with them but my expectations are not very high for this group at all.
This was a game they should have won. Very frustrated. Undoes the good mojo from the last few weeks.
This is a message board fans are going to vent, whoever don't stick with them because of this isn't a fan anyway. I'm disgusted too but Kentucky has got to win games like this, constructive criticism is different than trashing them. Kentucky is not supposed to lose to Alabama in basketball but today the law of averages caught up with us. They are a pretty good team at home and we had won ten in a row, but I still don't like it.
Me too. It’s a 2 point loss on the road. Just puts us in a position where we need to go 2-0 against either UT or Auburn and split the other. Would’ve been big to win the first road game and I think we squandered that opportunity, but this one will be easy to move on from. Forget the result and just look at how we played situationally in the last 4 minutes. That’s valuable experience for March.
Alabama game-planned well and took advantage of opportunities against poor transition defense. The most disappointing thing that stands out is that our Senior played so poorly. Our freshman were the ones that stepped up and played well.

I’m with you man. I actually think this team is fun to watch and will continue to get better. Don’t think they brought the energy required to win an SEC road game today but that’ll change quickly.
I do think we should press more and stop taking midrange jump shots unless it’s to break a zone.

You must be a fairly new U.K. fan if you don’t see the potential in this team. Cal’s teams have lost quite a few SEC road openers. Not worried about this loss at all. This team has a chance to be very good. Check back in February
Well for everyone on here to be happy the Cats have to win every game by 10 or more and have 10 guys with double doubles. No patience is required.
They're my team too. I'll always pull for them. It's just in my blood. But you're right, the SEC is tough and wide open and that's why you can't lose a game like this against a team like Bama. They're not good. Have you seen who they've lost to this season? I'll praise them and give them props when it's deserved but you better believe I'm also going to ride their *** when they play bad and throw games away like they did today. People may not like but I don't really care.
