Cal is .500 against the top 25 the last 5 years. 1-4 against Kansas. Like 5-8 against UT. 5-5 against Auburn. This wasn't just one bad year.
You tend to accuse several people of having multiple accounts when it really is just many posters disagreeing with your posts because it evident all you want is Cal to be fired.
Sure. Cal just won the SEC by 3 games last year. How soon we forget when we have an agenda.

We lost to freaking Evansville at home and Utah. Besides that the SEC was hot *** last year. I wouldn’t brag too much about that.

Look I don't want to get into this pissing contest but you keep mentioning the SEC and it being weak. Yet people on here compare all the coaches. I mean I hate losing to weak-*** teams too, but when we field a new team every year (Which I hope does come to an end) we are going t drop games we shouldn't early. Isn't it fair to say that all the coaches before Cal lived in a mostly weak SEC? I mean a team or two had their runs, but teams like AUB were a joke of a game for a long time. When we built up crazy advantages in the win column against most SEC teams was the SEC really anything close to what it has become as far as more balanced and way more competitive?
I just feel like people bounce around facts and what-ifs without looking at the clear truth that college BB has changed and so has the SEC and many other aspects of it. I'm not using this to promote or demote Cal. I'm just saying as a program we still should be on top of our conference and I know we aren't right now, but it is a much tougher conference than ever before.
No the coaches that replaced Knight did that and you seem to want the same thing at UK
Cal did it to himself with the Phil Night/Nike stuff. Just like he refuses to play the Maui or have non conference home and home series with certain teams.

It’s a body of work. Take away the 38-1 or 38-2 from the first 5 and you get a much different t result too
That has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. I'm not talking about 2 years ago. I was talking about how much tougher the SEC has been the last 5+ years or so compared to UKs domination early on and in the 80s, 90s and 2000s. Never mind. I don't really care to argue the Cal thing. He s our coach next year and things must get better period.

Ok, but people want to take away 2009-2015 so what's the difference? At least he is just taking away 1 year that looks out of place even next to 2013. It's kind of like one of these things doesn't look like the others.
There are trends like we have been trending away from our dominance, but there is also a one off which is what this year was.

Not buying it. I don’t set conditions. I set expectations based upon the coaches selling points and common sense. Lately, (last 6 years), those expectations have fallen way short. Give me a reason to feel different. You can’t. Just because you say Cal did it pre-2016 or whatever time frame you want to use, how does that mean he can do it now? He is proving he can’t. Show me something or close your argument.
I loaned him a 20 once. Never got it back.
This 6 seasons thing is stupid....it just isn't factual. We lost in EE twice....those don't count as poor years.
2016 coming off 38-1...entertaining team, Skal disappointed they lost. (Reminds me of 93-94 KY)
2017- 2nd best team in country really the majority of the year, played UNC who was probably a tad better than us in EE...terrible loss, tough to swallow (damn good team)
2018- rebuild, average season...maybe slightly sub par (reminds me of 2014 KY...minus random tourney run)
2019- came up short in EE...pretty good year minus Duke game early in season (solid team, bit of a choke job, ala 1995 KY)
2020- no tourney, good year, hard to argue they weren't a "contender"
2021- sh*t show
Not really since we also had teams of 38-2 and 35-3. Not a very good point since Cal has only had 1 losing season at UK. Even 1 is unacceptable, but to the point, we were discussing one season looks a lot different and like a one-off compared to all the rest and it isn't the 38-1 one since we had a 38-2 one with a title.
This guy was one of Tubbys staunchest defenders. Tubby wasn’t fired but if this guy had his way , Tubby would still be our coach.
We did lose to a mediocre Kansas State team with a terrible coach when our bracket completely opened up for us though. And we lost to Bruce Pearl and Auburn without one their best players. We should have one those 2 games , and I would feel completely different about our coach if we had .
I mean people are right in that regard. 2016 and 2018 weren’t good.
But we were one possession away in both 17 and 19. Those seasons were good seasons whether or not some want to admit it.

Take away everything but the 2012 and the 2015 season and you have a very different story,
Actually Rick had 3 final fours in 6 years because as a program we could not participate in post season play just like Cal could not compete last season. That is 5 per 10 years
Rick also had an elite 8 or better in 5/6 seasons and never missed the tournament. Although it was much easier getting into the ncaa tournament than it was during Rupps or Halls tenure. Much more difficult to do so back then.
