And neither was his fault, I know you lack intellect, but everyone knows that.

You are forgetting Cal got us to these level. UK basketball has not been on this level since Rupp. Why would we downgrade by hiring Musselman or Beard. That would set our program back 10 years. If and when Cal steps away, Stevens would be #1 on my list.

I disagree, UK was pretty dominant in the 90s.

Cal still got UMASS and Memphis to a FF so it counts In my book

In fairness...he took two teams to final fours who had never been to a final four from weaker conferences.

He basically built the UMass program and rebuilt Memphis taking both to levels they'd never been before.

Ya thats weird that he can build teams Iike that but refuses to do so now. He's more interested in pushing players out the door to the NBA than building teams with multiyear players with the occasional Rose or Tyreke Evans sprinkled in.

You're miscalibrated.

Some people get in their head that '10-'15 UK was just like the good ol' days, that's how Kentucky is supposed to be, etc.

No sir. That was a level far above average for UK that only our elite coaches ever reached, and never for a decade plus.

Now for this season, no excuse. But set it aside for a moment.

A trend? Teams like '19 and '20 which you probably consider sub-par were still well above the UK historical win percentage.

Were they as good as peak Cal/Pitino/Rupp? Of course not.

Does Cal need to make some changes to get back into every-year-title-contention? Yep.

But the idea that we've just been imploding the last 5 years says more about the fan than the program.

We still had some teams then that lost a hell of a lot of games. Had some great shots to win games like Liggins, Knight, Harrison in the tournament.

I still like to see winning 80% of the games played.

Well. You finally posted something I agree with. What these numb nuts did to Higgins is one reason we never get a break with refs. I also agree about grown assed men on social media with teenagers. I don’t have Twitter, don’t want it, I wish it would disappear.

We have never gotten a break with the refs except for a stretch in the 2000s.

You do realize the main person agreeing with you in this thread is a troll don’t you? Amazing how you are to blind to see that you cause more trouble then people you try to call out. Threads can have good conversations and out of nowhere you’ll show up with you’re elementary kid level posts about “clod” and “quitters”.

I don’t pay attention who agreees and who doesn’t. The guy that started this thread bashes the program and the team relentlessly. As I have said countless times, I don’t give a damn about what others think.

The funniest thing you said was elementary kid level posts. Ignoring the plethora of labels the quitters use like sunshine pumper and nut hugger, it’s hard to make intellectual responses to posts which cherry pick information, have an obvious hostile intend toward the program or simply bait actual Kentucky fans.

To summarize. I couldn’t care less.

I group you in with that crowd. I’ve told you that before. You’re just as bad as who you call quitters because you aid in causing so much division on our board. I get along with people on both sides of the Cal debate including some that you cry about. We all have a right to our own opinions. I enjoy talking basketball with the BBN because we have some very intelligent fans. The ones on here crying about the bad fans are irrational and are weak, IMO. Every fan base has bad fans. That’s how it has and always will be.

It’s funny that you think you are witty enough to punk someone in here. What a complete joke you are. The sad part is you don't even realize it.
Just look at the only people that are liking your posts, that should tell you all you need to know.
I have been very consistent in my views for two years now and you're struggling to deal with it. Grow up.

He was exnoriated in both cases...
They were still on his resume. He did nothing wrong, but kids he recruited into the program did stupid things and the schools took the fall.

The conversation was about who we could get to replace Cal and the facts are that Cal had two seasons vacated and no titles. He was quslified for the UK job with that stuff on his resume, he didn't have 4 final 4's and a title at that point, so the next time UK has to find a new coach, it's not fair to say the new coach has to have the same resume Cal had AFTER he got to UK.

You didn’t answer my question!
You just threw what if’s out there!
The ncaa tournament is a what if tournament. To answer your question......we on average go to a final 4 every 7 seasons. This will be season 7. If they don’t make a final 4 this season the clock starts. He will have a couple of seasons and then they need to move on. You can’t fire him when you know skyy clark and Dejuan Wagner Jr are coming.

if they are disappointing again like this past season then they need to move on anyways but if they make a sweet 16 or elite 8 his job is safe while we wait for those 2 to come in the next 2 classes.

Doesn't matter what was his fault or what wasn't his fault, he had two final four seasons vacated on his watch.

We blast Bruce Pearl and Rick Pitino for the same things, but since it was Cal, it's okay? No. It happened on Cal's watch twice at two different schools, which means it could've easily happen here too. When you recruit nba talent, you invite crookedness into your program.

Cal didn’t take UK to these levels Ellen, get that thought out of your mind now. UK was great before Cal got here and it will be great when he leaves. You're a Cal fan or a troll, no UK fan says what you just said.
Wait wait wait wait wait......we are still talking about final 4s being vacated over a damn decade ago? Wtf are you on dawg? What does that have to do with this? In both cases neither had anything to do with the coach. Rick Pitino lost his title because he had underaged strippers twerking on recruits. Not only should his final 4s have been vacated but he and everyone else on that staff should have been labeled as sex offenders.
Cal not being able to know that Camby took money from an agent isn’t close to what they did. Just pure ignorance.

Always jumping to conclusions that are false. I said you got punked. I didn’t say I did it. Just another of those details you shove out of the way when it doesn’t suit your fantasy.

As far as the people liking my post, as I told the guy earlier, I pay no attention to that. But while we are on the subject, your post are liked by the most vile Kentucky hating group on the board. I’d be embarrassed by them if I were you

And yes, you have been constantly wrong for 2 years. Thanks for pointing that out. Run along little Jeffy. Go find someone else to harass or another team to crap on.

If you don’t care why respond? Just do us all a favor and stop whining like a little kid. Taking it personal when someone says something you don’t like about Cal and acting like a psycho about it isn’t healthy. If Cal doesn’t care what that crowd says, why should you? You go insane about it, going from thread to thread crying. You bait trolls to join your weird *** crusade. You’re not self aware enough to see you have a ton of trolls that love it when you post.

There is nothing in the NCAA book saying Cal did anything wrong however your hero Pitino was fired for cheating and violating rules under his watch. He also had a title vacated and impregnated a ***** on a table in a restaurant while cheating on his wife. Nice hero you have there

There’s like a cult of the same 6-7 guys who bump one thread and post in every other cal related thread. They love Pitino and talk about how great of a man he was yet he did all of the things you said plus some. Yet Cal is somehow a bad guy. It is funny. Do I think he should stay any longer if we don’t see significant improvement? No. But I believe we will see a much better team and it probably won’t matter for these dorks because they’ve been calling for his head since the day he was hired.

You’re all over the place and I can’t find a coherent point. Are you trying to teach us that social media plays a part in fans being heard or where the word “fan” is derived? I’m always happy to have friendly banter, but I can’t follow up with you
Then go gain some reading comprehension skills and come back. This is a YOU problem.

How many more seasons does he get without making it back to the FF? We’re coming up on 7 straight without one

How many more seasons can he miss the NCAAT? He’s missed 2 of the last 9

Or does matter if he never makes the FF or NCAAT again? Your sticking with him no matter how bad it gets
I am guessing you are a Tubby fan, and long for the days when we had three 7 foot projects on the same roster? and 2 three star forwards on that same roster that were not any better the day they left than they were the day they got here... BP & ST are their initials by the way

Your problem is, you think anyone that has a different opinion of your "rah rah" ********, are bashing. Cal just went 9-16 and nobody here thinks that's acceptable, but you attack those people and make excuses for what we just witnessed.

You refuse to see the other side of things, then you double down and act like a 10 year old boy to deflect.

Just ask @HagginHall1999 and @LineSkiCat14, we have had many disagreements, but they act like adults and we end up finding a middle ground. That is impossible to do with you, because you act like a damn child. Drop the ******** act and you'll see that the conversations will go smoother.

Most of us have said over and over again we just want good basketball and if this continues he needs to be gone. The difference between you all and us is your group will continuously say they didn’t like the cal hire from day 1. That right there tells you all you need to know about that group. No matter what he does you’re the section of the fan base that will call for his job because you’re irrational. I will call for his job if this season coming up is anything like last but I won’t do it after one bad season.
