I hope everyone stays safe tonight. Unprecedented storms all evening. There were 20 active tornado warnings earlier. A good place to keep track is Ryan Hall's YouTube channel.

No.You mean 2011.
I thought you meant the outbreak itself. Not as big as 2011.No.
The Tornado that hit Mayfield Dawson Bremen Hartford.
2011 was May and in Alabama. It was supposed to be Western Kentucky and I'm glad it wasn't.I thought you meant the outbreak itself. Not as big as 2011.
Me too. I’m in southern Kentucky. Lots of damage here also. We were very lucky.I’m old enough to remember the April 3 1974 tornadoes that hit Louisville and surrounding areas. Damage was horrible.
2011 was April 26-29th in Texas, Oklahoma Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. Alabama had the most fatalities. Joplin happened in May killing 161 people, the most in a single tornado since 1950. Yes we were in the same tornado-con as Alabama on the 27th.2011 was May and in Alabama. It was supposed to be Western Kentucky and I'm glad it wasn't.
February 5, 2008 was a big breakout.
Would like to see those photos. I am a huge Tornado nerd too.2011 was April 26-29th in Texas, Oklahoma Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. Alabama had the most fatalities. Another big breakout was March 12, 2012 where Liberty or West Liberty (?) was hit by an EF3. Sorry I'm a huge tornado nerd. I've got pictures of the tornado that killed 4 in Laurel County somewhere around here. Speaking of 1974 my county was hit with 4 F3 tornadoes, although a decade before I existed.
6 people were sucked outta there basement and killed on Piney Grove and out traveled the entire width of Pulaski county. Some pics of Pulaski County from the April of '74 outbreak.
Credit for this set goes to David Rogers on Facebook. This is in Piney Grove.

I'll make it my mission to find in 4 days max. They show the supercell spinning, wall cloud dropping and Tornado dropping. I took them from a roof.Would like to see those photos. I am a huge Tornado nerd too.
I used to work in Southern Illinois where the largest known tornado ever went through. We were doing an investigation of a cemetery one time and there were numerous graves that said March 18th, 1925. We were looking for unmarked graves with ground penetrating radar.I'll make it my mission to find in 4 days max. They show the supercell spinning, wall cloud dropping and Tornado dropping. Ah the famous TRI State tornado.I used to work in Southern Illinois where the largest known tornado ever went through. We were doing an investigation of a cemetery one time and there were numerous graves that said March 18th, 1925. We were looking for unmarked graves with ground penetrating radar.
April 3, 1974 one went right over our house, the destroyed Xenia Ohio.Historic? April of 1974, I believe, was historic. Tornadoes all over Kentucky.

I always thought that Piney Grove twister would be more than F3.2011 was April 26-29th in Texas, Oklahoma Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. Alabama had the most fatalities. Joplin happened in May killing 161 people, the most in a single tornado since 1950. Yes we were in the same tornado-con as Alabama on the 27th.

Located in Eastern Kentucky I do believe.Ryan Hall has quite the weather operation going. I believe he's located in KY but he has followers from all over the world.
I'm young enough to remember we had debris in our trees. Most impressive was a wheelbarrow up in a tree, My father told me I couldn't climb up there and get it down. This was because he knew I would then climb up there and get it down. What he didn't know, was that if he would have shut up and gone into the house, I would have climbed up there to get it anyway. We'll call it a draw.I’m old enough to remember the April 3 1974 tornadoes that hit Louisville and surrounding areas. Damage was horrible.
I had family in that area. I remember people talking about cars with people in them being picked up and dropped into the Ohio river.April 3 1974 tornado that hit Brandenburg was a vicious son of a ***** .
