F5s were thought to have wind speeds of up to 300mph winds. Two have had that happen. The 1999 Moore Oklahoma tornado in which a dopler radar on wheels measured over 300 mph winds. The other was El Reno. It was dropping 318 mph vortices but was still only gave an EF3 cause the EF scale is based on only damage. That's why I'm saying that Mayfield tornado was an EF5 as it swept houses away leaving nothing but a slab of concrete. I've also read these ratings are very political.
Scariest video ive ever watched. The wind screaming is haunting.

The EF4 that hit my hometown (Bremen, KY) in 2021 was horrible. I've never seen so much damage in person. That town is just now getting back to

Winds based off radar versus in reality are 2 different things. Radar winds are not estimated on the surface but aloft. Winds at the surface are not as strong as aloft. That's why the EF scale, while not perfect, is superior.

Trust me I know all this. I was just giving the the two where 300 mph winds were recorded. I also believe the EF scale is superior.

The famous Rochelle tornado. Have you seen the video where some moron has plenty of time to escape it but sits right as it crosses in front of him like 10 yards? All you gotta do is type in on YouTube tornado passes right in front of vehicle.

Holy hell, that tornado was on the ground forever and was the deadliest tornado of that outbreak. Crazy it killed 72. That thing was more than a mile wide and and was moving 70mph at one point. You literally live right in the middle of Dixie Alley, where there are both more tornado deaths and EF5 tornadoes than tornado alley. James Spann is the man for weather forecasting.
My wife loves James Spann. Friend of mine sold him some surveillance cameras

April 3, 1974 one went right over our house, the destroyed Xenia Ohio.
My sister lived in Xenia Ohio at that time . My Dad and I went to get them as they as some damage to their house . I have never seen that much damage to a city like that. I went to Dawson Springs to help a former pastor and his family and that was a lot of damage. Xenia was by far the worst I have ever see in my lifetime.

I was 10 at the time, we saw these clouds go over our house that looked like giant rolling cotton balls. We drove around Xenia a couple days later. I remember whole housing developments where only a toilet and bath tub remained. I one place there was a sign that said "Xenia, gone with the wind". Stuck with me. Made me paranoid about tornadoes for a long time.
I like it better here, Hurricanes don't sneak up on you.

One tornado-Georgia Dome 2008 and I believe it was listed as a EF2. The Dome ceiling was dancing and I thought it was going to rip open. Right before the UK/UGA game and no one gave out information on what or where to go. Once you went outside, it was incredible to see the aftermath.

If that game before us hadn't went to overtime many would've been outside with no protection. Scary thought.
