DMV line:

Guy 1: "Can't wait to get my license back. Better get rid of this lead foot lol!!"

Guy 2: "Tell me about it! Get drunk and kill a 4 year old once is enough for me to learn my lesson!"

Guy 1: "

The tragic part is, more often than not, it’s the innocent bystander that pays for the selfishness of someone whose convenience was all that mattered.

Yeah, probably need to move on.

-Don't think we get this one but I do think we get USC. If it's still +10 when the line opens I'm going after that as well.

-Future looks to be in good hands. Square, Wilson, Rodriquez, Hughes, Rose. Keep plugging away.

-Believe Dorian will be going pro in something other than sports. Man, he can't hold onto to those deep balls. Bowden on the other hand is turning into a star and not the way I expected.

-Updated pronunciation of Bouvier -> According to G it's actually Butt-eeee-aye. We had a solid laugh on the way to school this morning.

-Wilson, got that kid for 3 years. Wowza.

-In honor of the Dogs and Jerry we're having hot dogs, sausages, brats, etc at the tailgate. Also going to let Bonzo guest DJ on the sonos app.

Middle child turned 7 yesterday. We had his party at our house Friday night. 47 kids showed up. Got them an inflatable bounce house thing and wiffle ball. They were completely entertained. One of his buddies landed a really solid punch square on my groin. Nothing hurts like a solid nut tap. Wanted to die. About 10 spent the night. They played fortnite until 3am. Then got up at 7am and played it some more. Never seen anything like it. I’m still garbage at it. 0 kills for dad so far. But it is pretty entertaining.

Oldest is still truck-sticking other 2nd and 3rd graders on the gridiron. Young Benny snell out there. HAVING SAID THAT, he has developed a habit of fumbling recently. 2 in his game yesterday and 2 when he played up with the 4th graders (humble brag) on Saturday. I mean, he recovered most, but it’s still pretty alarming. Need to get that shored up before the big rivalry this weekend.

Speaking of shored up, heading to the gulf in a few weeks. Looking forward to a nice seafood meal at the Back Porch, ice cold Mexican beer and some tired irritable children who want me to build **** out of sand and fish for sea slugs with a plastic net :sunglasses:

Birthday parties in Big D are a spectacle. Everybody trying to one up each other and then the snot nosed kids get 1K+ worth of gift cards. No telling how much the parents spend on the party.

My sister and BIL always come out on the wrong end because they can't say no and then don't have time or money to throw a big party for their kids in order to recoup what they've spent on gift cards.

-Cake donuts are for weirdos.
Donuts are for weirdos. Who's craving bread with icing when they get up or ever? I mean, I know I'm a weirdo because I don't like sweets, so there's that.

Spent a good bit of time watching people rescuing dogs (and some people) from floodwaters in the Carolinas. Thought I heard a few victims, as they gasped for air and struggled through the 9 feet of rushing water, yelling out that "Rogue said it was just going to be a little rain storm"
Never said it was just going to be a little rain storm. Said you could definitely ride it out. And MOST of those people that died either A) didn't leave when they were told to and weren't prepared to stay or B) crossed a roadway or something with flowing water which they EXPLICITLY tell you not to do.

The winds weren't anything insane at all honestly, but they did get a ton of rain and flooding which was bound to happen. I haven't seen any footage that makes me say, "OMG SO CRAZY EVERYONE PROB DIED!!!" I did see a bunch of weathermen faking bad conditions which is such BS.

Obviously I feel bad for everyone in the Carolinas as I have family in Durham and Chapel Hill as well as Greenville, SC. Had a couple that evacuated from Myrtle Beach at the bar last night and had the manager comp their meal and told them we know the feeling all too well.

Hats off to the first responders though, those people are beasts.

Also, hurricanes are stupid.

Pretty sure that's common knowledge. If you die from drowning you didn't listen and leave or went out in flash flood conditions which they told you not to do. Hurricanes don't sneak up on you, if you're not going to be prepared, leave.

Did you not see the multitude of posts showing weathermen acting like they could barely standup while people saunter by in the background? The storm itself wasn't catastrophic, like I said, the rain is what's causing the damage.

is the rain not part of the storm?
Yes, but again if rain kills you it's most likely your own fault.

Yes. Down to a Cat 2. I rode out Cat 2 Irma in a house on the water in Tampa. My girlfriend and her dad slept through it like it was any other night.

They exaggerate much of the time. Not saying it won't happen but we were supposed to get 6-9 ft surge and got 0. Also, the weather channel was showing Irma flooding in Key West and it was actually footage from Wilma in 2006 because it was more devastating and looked better on tv.
Good job spinning you numbskulls. Show me where I said, "Little rain storm" @RibsAndWhiteBread

The original "Yes. Down to a Cat 2." was in response to would you ride out Florence at Frying Pan Tower for 10 million. And I still would say yes. You all took that as me saying it was no big deal.

Let's all just agree I was 100% right and drop it. TIA.

I'm all for manslaughter charges if texting were involved. The .03 seems tough. If a 21 year old did the same horrible act, he doesn't get charged with manslaughter. Just a bad situation all the way around.

I too would feel sick if I figured out I knew more than you weather channel warriors. They expect the flag to still be at the tower but yeah I'm sure a person wouldn't live through that in an enclosed steel building.

Heading out to train legs under the house, chop up a banana tree, check on the garden and let the dogs hit the pool for a bit. Enjoy wallowing in defeat, clark.

Little thing called the Atlantic, combined with the storm surge, pumping into the low lands/rivers/streams, *plus* the rain.....

You may want to study up on the NC/SC topography....or just remain being ignorant about the subject.

******* it, why don't you not remain ignorant on reading comprehension?

Yeah, Florence was just a "little" rain. i am sure most folks slept right thru it. Hell it was just a Cat 1 when it hit land. Of course most folks slept right thru it,,, in their attics and on roof tops.

I do not care who's brother he is, he is a touching waterhead.

Good reminder to check in with my brother to see how my nephew’s friend’s birthday parties are going.
Look motherfvcker, I have to take and pick up the little bastard from some of them.

Consider yourself warned now that you are having another. Just say no to every birthday party.

Congrats by the way.

GFY.
