One of his buddies landed a really solid punch square on my groin.

[laughing] How does something like that come about and what's your reaction to something like that? I'm still young enough to remember being a kid, and I never remember a situation where I or any of my friends punched another kid's dad in the nuts.

It was on purpose? Damn.

Gotta be a little arm tag that "looks playful" but stings a bit to remind him you're dad strong and don't ever pull that **** again. Feel like an Adam Sandler movie has the solution to the issue.

I give a low chance the Stripe out goes well...UK should have marketed Anth’s weinerfest.

Havent seen MSU play, but I’m liking my team.

Spent the first half of my day dealing with insurance adjusters, some sort of "fire insurance expert", and a guy that is leading the clean up crew from some company. I have to remove everything from my shop so they can "clean up." Going to be 4-6 weeks before I can move back in, if even that soon. I would have been better off if the place had burned down and collected a check.

Came home to the little granddaughter lass so that put things into perspective, i guess.

Did you have any insurance? Surely you had some coverage for the contents, equipment, business loss.

Can’t imagine the hurt the kids parents are going through, such a senseless tragedy.

So in the eyes of the law, the driver was under the influence because of his age, but maybe not really if he’d been 21...so how does that change his future, had he just been texting instead of DUI fatality?

Sorry about your shop August.

Insurance will cover most of the damage, had a lot of personal stuff in there that i may never get the smell out of. That said my situation pales in comparison to those parents who lost their 4yo. Can not and do not want to even try to put myself in those shoes.

No one knows for sure his BAC, but "under the influence" isn't just a #. We also don't know his state of mind...maybe he hadn't slept and 2 beers was all it needed to impair his driving. The BAC/age will play more of a role in the courts than it did when he hit the child.

Regardless, a horrible situation.

Were either of the parents hit by the vehicle? Just curious as I can't imagine a 4 yr old not being close by in that situation / environment.

-Just the 4 year old. Sounds like they were standing on the shoulder waiting to cross the street.

-Snaps of our newest running buddy. He's ate up. Soon he'll be being 5" shorts, Hookas and running the Rusty Beaver Wild Mountain Fun Run 100k in Alabaster, MS.

-So Wiseman is recruiting RJ Hampton? Guess that's bad news for Duke as they were thought to be Hampton's leader. Sounds like positive news for Memphis mostly.

-UL fans acting like Shaq tat is the first guy to fly overseas for a recruit. :joy: Guess they don't know what's it's like to have an aggressive recruiter.

-UNC seems to have some serious momentum out there, be interesting to see if they swap places with Duke.

-Sports scribes really have no idea how business actually works. TJ Walker was all up in arms yesterday over UK offering reduced price seats. These classic quotes:
*I wonder if the fans that paid full price will get a cash voucher when arriving.
*Then those that paid regular price are going to be steamed.

K, bud. Pretty sure UK isn't handing out cash vouchers b/c they offered a sale. Southwest going to offer vouchers when they have a flash sale? Hotels going to offer vouchers when priceline sells a room for $49? Kroger when they discount about to expire products?

-Woke friend this morning is absolutely certain these cops were displaying a racist gesture and should be hung by the nearest tree. Still digging in after being called on it. SMH.

I would imagine that his BAC will be the difference in him being charged with Reckless Homicide (Class D) or 2nd Degree Manslaughter (Class C). There's no excuse for running up on a sidewalk and hitting someone. It amazes me that Kentucky doesn't have a vehicular homicide statute.

So it’s a 3 sign, punch you in the shoulder sign, tight butthole sign...

I guess I’m old, how’s that’s racist?

Didn't run up on the sidewalk. They were standing on the side of the street.

I have a 4 year old and I’m a little embarrassed to admit how much “freedom”
I give her. She runs around all over at her brothers practices. Little playground behind the football field. I keep an eye on her, but people that are ripping the parents for not having him tied to them or whatever need to stop that immediately. Just a horrible fluke accident that could happen to any parent unfortunately, and I think that’s why it’s hitting everyone so hard. Just absolutely terrible.

You never played gotcha? Seems to be making a comeback with the rednecks. Not sure how it's racist other than some white cops are making the gesture.

:joy:

One of the more successful of these recent 4chan hoaxes, also originating in February 2017, was the concept that white supremacists were drinking milk to show “the superiority of the white race” and the “purity of white milk.” One hoaxer trying to convince the Anti-Defamation League “explained” that “they are chugging milk in front of people of color, quoting racist books and phrases and supposed statistics about people of color being lactose intolerant.” A number of media websites bought into the milk hoax.
