Whenever you simpleton DIY’ers grow up and want to learn about a baller-*** floor, hit me up and axe me about my wall to wall slate. [smoke]

BS. You can pull the trump card on major items like flooring. You just have to give up on other areas. Also, my answer was perfect.

Just busting your balls, ENGuin.

I'm sure your stain coach approved of your answer.

* Speaking of koi ponds... ripping out 3 scale infested magnolias from the side of my house and putting in a "fairy garden" for my girls. Complete with a waterfall and little bridge. They saw something on one of the home improvement shows my wife was watching, asked if I could make them one and Daddy is a pushover.

Green thumbs like Clark and Geesefeeder, what are a couple of nice small-medium sized trees that do well with a lot of sun and are pretty disease/pest resistant?

* Bonus day yesterday. :pimp: Looks like the basement is getting finished. What am I looking at for 1,250-1,500 sq ft? It's completely unfinished. The plumbing is there for a half bath.

Probably looking at a large family room, wet bar, half bath and workout area. leaving the rest unfinished for storage.

1 week out from moving and I haven't packed a single damn item. Borrowed a dumpster from work and threw a bunch of **** away tho. New house has nice hardwood. Probably pine. Idk. I'm gonna leave them alone. Very little carpet in this house which makes me a thankful dad. Got a buddy that makes custom farmhouse style furniture and he's hooking us up with a whole ton of goodies. SAE - let me know if you'd like something for your new place.

Nice mild February days like this get me hankering for some baseball, man. Bat Cats szn is basically here. Signed all 3 kids up for baseball. Going to be coaching 2 of the teams. Looking to go 18-0 in our tee ball league. If we do I will be an even MORE unbearable ******* if you can believe it.

So what stains would y’all suggest? Appreciate the input.

Why not go see a company that, you know, specializes in this type of thing....find what you like...buy it. Damn, what a novel concept.

How old were you when you realized putting the seat up would stop you from pissing all over it?

Winter King Hawthorn. Low maintenance, showy tree, with winter interest.

Paint - $4500
Carpet - $3000
Trim - $2500
Bathroom - $5000

I guess their "$15k" basement didn't come with drywall, electric, hvac, insulation, lumber/framing, etc.?

Willy I would help you on a material list to shop out if you want, that is mostly irrelevant at least.

- Shopping for lots is by far the most annoying thing I’ve done in along while.

This is one is full of rock, the size is off on that one, your layout leaves your yard disfigured here, that one is EXPENSIVE, this one would be perfect for you and your project if you could look past the electric tower next door........

I’m glad our states leaders are again discussing bathrooms- who can use them, who can’t- instead of stuff like pensions or taxes.

Wonder if there are #smug enclaves in Akron, OH?

* The peeps down the street have a contractor that did amazing work on their house at a very reasonable price. I'm going to see if I can get a similar rate as them. But they basically redid their whole house and I'm just doing the basement this year. They also went with high end ****. I'd like to keep it at $40K or under.

* I'm not even going to watch the Cats tomorrow night. Well, I'm going to try to watch it when I get home but I won't be able to keep from looking to see what the score is.

Much needed date night with the wife. Mitchell's Seafood and a movie. I've been working 12-20 hours every day and we need some alone time.

* We just hired another UK fan here at the office. Young girl from Louisville. Going to be doing some digital stuff for us (don't go there Dr. Pope). Looks like she is about 19.

Still no help for me. Sigh.

Very Wildcat dominant office now. It is nice. Indiana Boy has been extremely quiet this year.

* Gonna grab some Chinese takeout tonight, drink a few beers and watch the Games.

* Gotta get in about 18 hours here at the office this weekend. Maybe I'll start working out again next week.

* NKY/Cincy peeps... lets hit up Turfway on Friday, March 2nd. Cheap beer, Naked Karate Girls, horse gambol. Bring your plus ones.

* My usual SECT crew is going to Vegas that weekend. I'll be home celebrating my Dad's 80th.

* Friday Five

Ms. Jackson - Outkast
The Everlasting Gaze - Smashing Pumpkins
Alphabet Street - Prince
Psycho Killer - Talking Heads
Personal Jesus - Depeche mode

* UK - 71 Texas A&M - 66

* Have a good weekend, GYERO. Don't tell them where you got it.

-Chad, Houzz.com’s discussion board is helpful for home decisions.

-Been in bed the past 20 hours with “flu-like” symptoms. 75% of my office has the same thing. Tested negative, but she said it could just be too early. I don’t actually feel that bad besides the headache. Even mustarded up the energy to make homemade chicken noodle soup. I’ve got a heating pad, peppermint oil on temples, echinacea, apple cider vinegar and an essential oil thing going. Puppies please.

It’s 80$’s kid’s 2 year old b-day party Sunday and I’d like to go. We missed last year because G was in the hospital.

-Speaking of kids, they are great.

-I would like to think if my dad had the option of smoking pot and not getting fired from his lifelong gig at LG&E, it might have helped with his back issues. Then again, who knows?

-Olympic Winter Games are helpful for my commissioned sales gig. Anybody want a prime spot next week or the week after, there’s a couple left.

-Glad Live PD is on a break. Anth is obsessed.

So how much have the 2 bridges helped the downtown Louisville traffic? I mean they had been talking about that East End bridge for 4 years. I had to go to Indiana a few weeks ago and there was basically no traffic at 9:00 AM over the East End bridge.
