I, for one, will always listen to "Same old lang syne" when it comes on. The lyrics about taking the "groceries to the check-out stand, the food was totalled up and bagged" are maybe the most mundane lyrics ever.

Hopefully some of you Louisvillians learned a thing or two last night.

1) championships aren't won in September. That FSU blowout is but a footnote on the season.

2) LAMAR has had a magical year, but one beat down defeat just crushed his Heisman chances. He may still win, but he's got to be perfect from here on out. And get help.

3) the NFL hates quarterbacks that can't throw. His athleticism is nice, but if you're expecting his passing deficiencies to disappear at the next level -- think again.

Yep. Seeing projected 7th round pick Greg Ward Jr make passes Lamar couldn't hit in a skeleton drill should get all of the UL fans woke about this, but doubtful.

Good news for Lamar is that as of now perfect from here on out just means playing a Kentucky defense that just gave up 600 yards to a Josh Dobbs led offense.

Cheesiest Christmas song in history, hands down.

Shut your ***** mouth. That video is cheesy as hell, but the song is a classic. I submit "Wonderful Christmas Time" and "Last Christmas" as contenders for cheesiest Christmas song.

Admittedly, I'm a sucker for Christmas music. This will happen more than once whilst driving around this Christmas season:

CMD: [banana] "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas, it's the best time of the year..."
LB: :)
CMD: :cool2: "It's Christmas Time in Hollis, Queens, Mom's cookin' chicken and collard greens..."
LB: :grimace:
CMD:  *as Elvis* "I'll have a blue Christmas, without youuuu...."
LB:
CMD: *trying to sing two octaves higher than possible* "We drank a toast to innocence, we drank a toast to now..."
LB: :chairshot:
CMD: "Grandma got run over by a reindeer..."
LB: :boom::gun: Let me off here. Thanks.

<-Would really like Lamar's draft stock to rise up so he'll GTFO after next season. No thanks on 2 more years of that.

-Quade's HS coach confirmed the rumors that he's already signed and delivered a LOI. So that should pretty much lock it up for UK b/c it's obvious Cuse was expecting that letter and when they didn't get it they sent the sour grapes on patrol to ruin the surprise. I'm very biased but I'm glad UK doesn't do that. Cal is really f*cking amazing.

-Hard workout today, hopefully get ish headed in the right direction after 3 weeks of bleh.

-You fools that just blindly consume bourbon because "OMG it's from KY," need to realize there is a whole world of delicious whisky out there and branch out. Lagavulin 16 = Shew...weee.

I'd like to light "Last Christmas" on fire, piss on it, pour kerosene on it and burn that motherf*cker into oblivion. Whoever, pushed Xmas talk up before TGiving can go the same way. It's getting ridiculous. 8 weeks of Xmas is too effing much.

Also, dying by falling into an acid hot pool and completely dissolving is 2016's worst way to die. I thought that was just a myth in the movies. F*ck me that sounds awful.

Maybe I'll give Lagavulin 16 a try. I've never been able to get into Scotch, but maybe I've just been drinking the wrong stuff.
Don't start there. Need to step up to it as it's very peaty. Oban, Glenkinichie, The Balvenie Caribbean Cask. Start there.

An Oregon man who died in a Yellowstone National Park hot spring and dissolved when he fell into the boiling, acidic water, was looking to soak in the water, park officials said in a report.

The report, which followed a Freedom of Information Act request from KULR, found that Colin Scott, 23, was looking for a place to “hot pot,” or soak in the streaming waters—a practice forbidden by the park—with his sister in June. He “was reaching down to check the temperature of a hot spring when he slipped and fell into the pool,” the report said, quoting his sister Sable Scott.

Search and rescue rangers who looked for Scott found his body in the pool, along with his wallet and flip flops, but their recovery efforts were thwarted by a lightning storm. The next day, they could not find any remains because of the acidic water quality.

“In a very short order, there was a significant amount of dissolving,” Deputy Chief Ranger Lorant Veress told KULR.

Not sure I'm following how irrational it was for Louisvillians to believe a #5 ranked UofL team with the Heisman frontrunner was ever a threat for the Playoffs, PTI. Also, and in spite of my noted ballwashing of the Cards this season, I believe it was me who went on record with believing they'd drop one more in the regular season. :)

Regardless, after we thump AP tomorrow I would hope our confidence to go in and win the game next Saturday is improved, as much as it remains a longshot. With bowl eligibility locked up, we have literally nothing to hold back and should play loose.

Faint...

Balvenie Doublewood is as smooth as that track signees ***. I'd go with that over their Caribbean Cask CMD while the training wheels are still on.

My aunt was placing a marble in her medicine cabinet back in the 70's to weed out snoops.

8th and final trip of the year to DC this past week. Every time I'm there I'm more enamored with the place. Would move in a heartbeat if COL wasn't as ridiculous as it is. Place is just a click or two lower than Manhattan in most areas I'd want to reside.
DC is full of nerds. That whole town is bringing khakis back.

Just checked into the Casino, actually.

Anth talks about branching out, but won't touch anything that isn't single barrel/malt. Enjoyed that Monkey Shoulder, Bonz. Have a bottle of Riverboat Rye I'm ready to sample as well -- trying to find tasty budget-ish bottles is underrated.

As the resident GYERO Yellowstoneball and future park ranger out there, I'd like to again remind everyone of the awesome "HEY DUMMY DON'T WALK OFF THE PATH OR ELSE" signs that are multilingual and probably outnumbered only by the bison and Asian tourists in the park.

Rat Pack Christmas and Muppets Christmas Carol soundtrack are my favorites. Also enjoy Michael Buble's Christmas album tbh.

Get to start enjoying those again the Sunday after Thanksgiving... :fire:

Don Imus, while interviewing Cal: “Well as you know, Rick Pitino at Louisville, he gets his kids, you know, cars and hookers and money."

[laughing]

I don't care that the "cars and money" part isn't (as far as we know) true. The fact that this perception is out there, and that thousands of people heard this question asked and now probably assume it's true, is enough for me.
