I think we should have replied "no", for the record. And 4p is the cut off at our house.

If only the wedding were yesterday. Smh.

Wait...they're going to a wedding vs. a UK football game? I thought weddings in the Fall were strategically scheduled to avoid home football weekends? That's just bad management. Even if you don't go to the game, certainly you will have friends/acquaintances who will go.

Yeah, other than maybe Richie I don't want to hear it. You all miss several games a year and brag about how cool you are for staying home. We're going to a wedding for people we eat with every single week. Be pretty awkward next week to say, "yeah sorry we couldn't make it but UK vs MSU." Be thankful we invite your dirty asses in the first place.

Plus, we'll make most of the game.

We eat with a group of friends each week. Why do you care? Should make it easier for you. Now you won't need to lie to your wife about going to the bathroom so you can sneak over for 1 beer. That is... if you're even allowed to go.

Yep. I skip one tailgate because we had another obligation (said wife's birthday) and I'm a pussywhipped touchboi.

You missing a game because a neighbor's cousin is getting married is nobody's business, though. Family dinner.

Got it, Anthony. Thanks! Will walk on a different sidewalk this Saturday. Sorry again.

The simmering rivalry between anth's weekly dinner friends and his internet message board friends has become one of the better things about GYERO.

Came to the realization yesterday that I cheer for the Bengals out of habit. That won't change, but they have some inexcusable knuckleheads on that team. They've gone from complete losers to even worse- a talented team that insists on either underahieving or stepping on their own dick week in and week out. Sometimes I wish I had grown up in Steelers Country.

Weekend randos.

Had some guests in town, and we did the damn thing. Pretty much a perfect Kentucky weekend.

Saturday Keeneland was off the chain. Talent in the clubhouse was ridiculous. Veteran move-getting there early and scoring a table on the lawn.

Belle's rooftop is really nice. Not quite done yet, but that is gonna be fun.

Took the boat out yesterday. Getting it ready for winter, but there may still be a few runs left. Shew it was nice out there.

Hate myself for it, but I'm getting excited for this 730 MSU game.

-Yep, Bengals will always be losers. The ending of that Playoff game last year. Lol. Glad I won some $$ on them yesterday. Easiest bet of the season.

-[laughing] @ the sudden interest in tailgating and UKFB going to a bowl game. We had like 12 people last time and no one showed up until 2 hours before the game. Including Brooksie, who's attended for a full 30 minutes this year and 15 of that was shameful.

-Bob, haven't you been over for dinner before? For the rest of you. It's a small group of friends who eat a meal together. Mostly uneventful but good conversation. We typically do this twice a week. Now you can remind us how miserable that would make you and how dumb standing plans are.

-Speaking of bad decisions -> Keenland + BBM + Tony's + entertaining out of town guests + sick kid + Keeneland + Dinner + Brunch. Tired and FAT. "Let's go to the pumpkin patch... help clean out this entire room... watch G and don't take a nap..." "False toots, this was your idea. Nap and ride are in the cards."

-still be trying to figure out what the **** rhymes with Bronco

-Peter Sagan... just a beast. Went Back to Back yesterday in Doha. Smoked Cav in a sprint. Dude is just getting better as he figures out strategy.

-Record high today or tomorrow. I love October. Terrible for business but great for mood.

Other than the sick kid, did the same battle plan, and loved every second of it. Good times with you guys. Wish you could have been there for the dance off at Harvey's Saturday night.

-Maybe the weekly dinner party is really an operations/sales meeting for a MLM scheme Anth is involved in.

-My wife's uncle (recovering heroin junkie) was clearing brush on Friday evening by himself and managed to get his hand stuck in the wood chipper. This is not some troy-bilt residential wood chipper. This is a big, scary, commercial tow behind wood chipper that tree companies use. It wasn't running but he got his hand caught between the two wheels that pull branches into the blades. He laid there from 5P-10P until we found him.

I thought he would lose the hand when I first saw it. 4 fire trucks showed up, an ambulance, and other emergency vehicles (I think they came just to take a look). They used their hydraulic splitter and lifted it off his hand. Only spend one night in the hospital and is now back home with a cracked bone and a puncture wound. Other than that, the hand is all there.

Craziest thing I have seen in a while.

What do they give recovering junkies for pain management? Assuming you can't just throw them a scrip of loratabs.

Weekend Randoms:

- Well, after 11 years at my company, I accepted another job on Friday. Start in a month. Same type of work, but now in the health care industry. Pretty pumped, but a little bittersweet. I really enjoyed working here and I'll miss it. Much better $$$ and opportunities, though.

- Had a great weekend. Went out to dinner with the lass and my two best buddies and their wives Friday night. Buono Vita in Willy's hometown of Dayton. Charming little pizzeria with ridiculous cheap drinks- $4 crafties, $7 Old Fashioneds, wine was pretty inexpensive, too.

- Watched Madness when I got home Friday night but was hammered so it's a bit of a blur. What are some thoughts from GYERO?

- Saturday, went over to my married friends' crib and got drunk on their porch. They live right up the street from ABH's old crib. I love that part of town.

- So, any of you booster types hearing anything good on Bamba? Sounds like we're in great shape for Young, Washington and Richards. Also sounds like we're right there for Knox.

- What is going on in Lexington? Any details on Tyson Gay's daughter's shooting?

- I used to date this really hot, yet extremely annoying flaky party girl. She's one of the only girls I dated who I actively dislike to this day. She was just a mess- got wasted every time we went out. Was awful on social media. Her favorite style of dress were hoochie dresses. Wouldn't trust her any further than I can throw her. But what I hated most about her was the way she talked- the cheesy, hyper-trendy crap you only hear from the worst kind of people. Well, Dr. Boat talks just like her. For instance, she loved saying, "Do the damn thing." [eyeroll]

- I hate sticking up for the Bengals, BUT WTF is up with their schedule so far?

@ Jets- tough game at the time, although easier in hindsight
@ Steelers- Super Bowl contender
Broncos- SB contender
Dolphins- admittedly, they suck
@ Cowboys- SB contender
@ Patriots - SB contender

So, as ****** as we are, we've had FOUR games against Super Bowl contenders, THREE on the road!

-

the feud between Mags52 and "the '96 team" is tiring. he apparently blasted them (all of them) on his show last week, then does an old-school blog last night to apologize that he shouldn't call every single one of them out. Grow some nuts & name the names of the dudes who apparently allegedly do nothing but bellyache about Cal & UK all the damn time. Don't paint with a broad brush for a group of 13 to 15 guys who 90% are great & never have said a negative word.

he can start **** with McConnell & Pres Ramsey but hasnt the stones to call out Meals by name?

-Meals, DA and Shep are the culprits, I assume from reading through the fine print. But yeah, he's certainly not helping the cause.

-Gay's daughter was shot right up the street from Tolly Ho. They arrested the suspects this morning. Apparently she just caught a stray bullet, at 3am.

-BBM is awful. TS. Especially to attend. Blue-White scrimmage on Friday, tho. :fire::basketball:
