Read online a little while back that Ulis was coming back so chill, grab a Coke, and so forth and so on.

Oscar tweeted this , thought it was kind of cool.

"Always read the plaque," is a pretty good ethos (from a favorite podcast of mine, obviously.)

Wife out of town, so I will head down to a hot sports joint and sit alone and in silence at the bar, all the while listening to UK fans pulling for Nova and wishing for the Heels execution by lethal injection.

Final buzzer, I stand up, take off my jacket to reveal my new UNC golf pullover and yell out for Calipari to have a nice day.

I usually ignore UKO because really, what's the effing point, but --- what the hell kind of person thinks this / does this / posts about it?

Although it's consistent with many of my interactions with that fan base (hence, The Quiz).

Also noticed that he started a thread on IC about Skal leaving, as soon as it was announced, saying that he doesn't "fear" us next year.

What a bitter, obsessed, demented little creep.

The UNC Adulterer (had to say adulterer since if I said cheater I could have been talking about anyone associated with UNC) is currently arguing that UNC was CLEARLY the better team, just that Nova brought their A game, while UNC had an off night.

Turbo False. Granted hindsight is 20/20, but I'd say the team that mowed down 4 top 10 team in a row (and 5 top 25 teams) including a 44 point beat down of the #4 team in the country was better than the clowns who cake-walked to the finals playing ZERO top 10 teams and only 1 top 25 team. Oh, and I'll also take the team that you know . . . WON THE GAME.

Oklahoma saw Nova's A game. UNC got the B or B+. Meanwhile UNC shot out of their *** all game including Paige's ******** 3 to tie it. Nova was simply better.

Nova was simply better and Jay Wright is a bauce (despite former ncaa history). So much doom, gloom, and despair before the game....oh wait it was nothing more than a jinx. I'm just glad it was a great final game and UNC stays 1 game/ship behind us

A good friend of mine is a Villanova grad. He just texted me from Charles DeGaulle Airport- he's heading towards his gate and wearing a Villanova shirt and said he's been stopped by 5 UK fans already who thanked him for beating KU and UNC.

So five UK fans in Paris, France stopped a complete stranger to celebrate the losses of two rivals.

Just further proves my theory- spite, gravity, and nuclear fusion are the most powerful forces in the universe.

Working mom guilt is up there though.

Wednesday Randoms:

- Don't agree with his politics, but Parrish nailed this article on Skal.

I have little for fans who don't support our players after they leave as long as they're good kids. Yeah, this season was a disappointment but it was our second worst season under Calipari who's taken us from Tubby/Gillespie and a 13-year F4 drought to four F4s, two championship games and a national title. Stop being F'ing babies and wish Skal the best.

- Happy for him but its bittersweet thinking about not being able to watch Ulis in a UK jersey again. What a ballplayer.

- Caught that UK documentary from a year or two ago on the NBA network last night. Took you from Rupp through today. Great watch. I can't imagine what it must have been like to watch homegrown Goose Givens score 41 in that '78 title game to end that 20 year drought. That must have seemed like forever. It sure did leading up to '96.

- Can't wait to watch Wenyen Gabriel Saturday in the Hoops Summit. Ayton's playing for the international team and apparently the kid's unbelievable. Sounds like he's going to have a hard time getting eligible, though.

- We all have ideas on what WE want for an ideal UK team, but it's pretty clear after watching the guy for 20 years that Calipari ideally wants a long, athletic, nasty defensive team first and foremost. Seems the way he looks at it- give him that kind of roster and he'll figure it out on offense considering the talent. Well, that's the kind of squad we look to have next year.

- What can women's basketball do to get more fans? Lower the basket? Improve the marketing? Get more coverage? The truth is there is nothing they can do. Not a damn thing. I don't see why that's so hard to grasp. It isn't sexism. It isn't because people don't know these players. It's because no one cares. That's fine if you do, but sometimes life is black and white.

- And I just don't get why ESPN insists on womens/mens CBB crossover comparisons. It's two different sports. Marcus compare cricket and baseball.

- Just got me a pair of these bad boys for summer. I love 90s styles coming back. [thumb2]

According to Gabriel's teammate who broke his commitment to UK last year, Briscoe is coming back. That's awesome. As talented as he is, after seeing Fox play, it will be nice to have another terrific ballhandler in the mix.

If you could only have one of the three, which one are you taking?: Briscoe returns, Lee returns, Bolden commits.

The Bolden thing is doubly important, because if he doesn't pick UK, he'll go to the other best team in the country.

That said, I'd probably go Briscoe, then Bolden, then Lee.

Not that it would make it more interesting, as nothing can, but I've heard a few women say they would rather play with a men's ball (lol:cool2:). They aren't going to palm the ball anyway, so the smaller ball just makes rebounds go all over the place.

Yeah, I'd go with that order, too. First, we need veteran leadership and Briscoe will have that covered. Secondly, his D, playmaking and ballhandling are tremendous. Third, I just don't see how he doesn't improve his shot a lot this summer. He knows his career rides on it and he strikes me as a pretty dedicated dude.

Yup.

Calipari has a weird tendency to be one great guard short on his roster. With Briscoe, we have three legit talents in the backcourt and can be much more interchangeable. Plus, Briscoe plays bigger than he is.

With Bam and Killeya-Jones, I'm not totally sure what Lee is bringing to the table next year (other than 5 fouls). Lee is not a center in any traditional sense, he has no offensive game whatsoever, and is only so-so on defense beyond blocking shots.

If youre going with those strap sandals, Chacos would be a better play.

My summer footwear consists of a pair of canvas loafers to be really casual, or simple leather driving mocs for just being regular casual. As always, no socks after April 1.

The Golf Channel is so awesome during majors.

Between 'Live at the...' that runs most of the time, full length pressers, and classic documentaries/flashbacks/highlights they mix in from time to time, it's pretty much 24 hour A+ viewing. #worship

[jumpingsmile] Checking in on IC and these tools are in fullblown Louisville Fan-esque meltdown over the refs. Dudes are watching the film cataloging non-calls, questioning the morality of the refs, etc.

I mean, let's say for argument's sake that Nova got the better whistle- it's not like it was a complete shitshow. It wasn't like they took 24 more FTs and fouled out four guys (like what happened to us in Lawrence). UNC was called for four less fouls and shot four less FTs.

What a bunch of bitches. Of course, what else would you expect from a fanbase where over half of them chose to be fans because they love the baby blue colors.
